Yep... That said, I would like the city to do a bit better job with the roads when this inevitably happens, especially when we could easily see it coming since last week.

but if the city did a better job, they would have to use more salt, and we would have more potholes and then we would complain about that... I liked it better when we didn't use salt.

Sorry all, the city is too busy clearing all the pathways and bike lanes (except the ones I use).

It kind of looks like the weather network is revising stuff down a bit, only showing 5cm overnight and 5cm again on Friday with some 1cm stuff in-between. Gives time to get things cleared versus another big overnight 10-15cm dump.

Pfft...let the cyclists sort it out themselves!
If you're going to bike to work, put a plow on the front of that thing and quit yer whinin'!
Pedestrians should just put their boots on, grab their gloves and toques and bring a shovel along with them. Just shovel as they go!
No good layabouts!

Administrative bloat. It's always administrative bloat. I have zero evidence it's administrative bloat, but I am supremely confident that the problem with all taxpayer funded services is administrative bloat.
After all, if we got ready of the white collars doing all the planning then obviously the front-line would just implement a perfect common sense plan every single time because all of these issues are as simple as I believe them to be in the singular snapshot context in which I consider them.

Roads have melted, and less than 10cm between now and Friday forecasted. Thankfully won't be the snowpocalypse people feared

I'm disappointed to see that Sunshine appears to have received no new snow with this storm.

Do we still value the snow dump when it benefits farmers but not skiers?

The Skiing farmers are the real winners here.
