Don't take this weather away! It's melting away the seasonal depressive episodes that come with winter dragging on. Last few days have been literal perfection.
At least with ithe forecast showing minus single digits if they're diligent with plowing & salting the main roads should melt. A deep freeze with that much snow is infinitely worse.

I threw a snowball at Surferguy's head across the courtyard in Rez. Stupid Kananaskis, thinking they were gonna win.

Haha lol, I ducked and then shook my fist real hard at you!
My favorite was all the cattle paths we took to Moose McGuires that evening. Nobody had shoveled so all that was available to walk on was tiny narrow paths through the snow.
After a big St Paddy’s day the walk home was lined with random body prints in the snowbanks as ppl got too piled to stay upright on the way back.
Still makes me laugh

Man I can't believe after a day like today that in a couple of days it will be winter again and all the snow will be back and more.

Ain't that the truth. It feels like the longer I live here, the more the post Christmas blues get to me. It felt really nice to have sunlight and warmth for the past few days, just very uplifting for me.

I remember that being the day we could make snow forts by digging instead of piling.

I remember the 98 event. We had moved here August 97 and were still renting downtown. I had no excuse not to walk the 6 blocks to work. For most of the morning there was just 3 of us from our department. The other two guys were the manager who lived in Cochrane and the supervisor who was from Airdrie. I still laugh that the guys who had the best excuse to not make it in, were the ones who did.
