The slob look is in fashion, so in a weird way, you and Peter are now the unfashionable ones.

I admit to be fully ignorant of all the clothing items he listed.

I always just assumed that's what Peter12 does. He's not necessarily bragging, he's just narrating his what he sees. Kinda like, what Boring Sean Monahan does.

Allen Edmonds are trash, my guy. I wear Aldens like Corsi.

Imagine the style of dress of a guy slack lining in Riley Park, but with shoes on.

I'm not bragging about the price of my clothes. I'm bragging about how great I look today. For all you know, I could be living in a box surrounded by piles of moldy expensive designer clothes.

Time for a "What Are You Wearing Today" thread?
Coal Harbor company issued golf shirt, Athletic black base layer turtleneck, Urban Star stretchy denim jeans, Happy Foot socks, with a pair of Clarks, Kirkland boxer briefs.

To be fair, I look a bit more put together than that.

I'm surprised slack liners don't get beaten up on the regular. There are some of those ultra-nerds that do it at the main park along the river in Canmore. I just want to cut off their man buns so bad. They're not in the way or anything, they are just so dooshy they shouldn't be allowed in the same spaces as the rest of us.

How often do you wear those vs Nikes? ... And now, I imagine Allen Edmonds in your possession being beaten and neglected like a rented mule.
Seriously though, I nabbed a few pair of loafers this year and I'm like, "I should have gotten sneakers that go well with dress pants instead. Oh well. They were dirt cheap and they're comfortable enough. Useful for pretending I tried for company parties or the occasional bar hopping escapade without sullying other footwear I actually care about.
As Sliver said, the slovenly look is fashionable. Looking good socially without a monkey suit and noose is great!

How does one get used to a turtleneck under a golf shirt?
Seriously though, are turtlenecks making a come back? I kinda miss them.

Anti-style attitudes grind my gears. My best bud is like that. He runs one of the biggest physio clinics in the Lower Mainland and he dresses like an absolute slob! That #### matters!

Yeah, it's the whole dad-core thing. I will still wear a suit quite often, but I generally wear New Balance or Nikes, and some kind of straight-legged loose pant.

Does it? I'd say the fact that he runs one of the biggest physio clinics in the Lower Mainland seems to indicate that his sense of style isn't holding him back.

Veeery typical for wealthy small-business owners to dress down. True for all the ones I know and The Millionaire Next Door - while not exactly a new book - found this to be the case as well. People who wear expensive clothes are often under-achievers of wealth.
