I think they should shaddup. Frankly the Oilers have seen next to no adversity this year. No real significant injuries, powerplays whenever the chosen one gets sneezed on. A quarter of their games against teams on the second half of night to nights.
There has been nothing tough, or against them this year. If Cinderella was a large woman the Oilers would be the glass slipper hanging off of her cankles.

Does anybody have the exact stats regarding how many times the Oilers have faced a tired team as opposed to the rest of the NHL?

I remember reading that the Oilers had to play something like 11 back to backs this season, and faced opponents who were on the second night of their back to backs 19 times, so net a +8 advantage to the Oilers schedule.

I wish I could change my handle here from CaptainCrunch to Lance Catameran.
That's like the greatest name ever. You know that I was an anchor in upstate New York for 6 weeks.

It's so weird reading an HF Oilers post game thread. They are all angry about the effort of the loss yet giddy that McDavid got three points. It's like him winning the scoring race is as important as the wins and losses to them.

Several of the 11 back to backs they also played a team on a back to back, the advantage was crazy absurd.
Meanwhile, the Flames played 7 back to back games by November. November. Like if that could not have contributed to the Flames poor start with a new coach and 2 star players missing training camp.
The Oilers advantages is even more significant. That is crazy. Any argument with an Oilers fan claiming their schedule was rough and other teams had it soft should automatically be countered with that image. Net 11 game advantage.

This also really highlights how bad the Avs are this year.

Connor McDavid Sets Personal Record for Career Points in 4-3 Anaheim Win
The Oilers’ superstar, Conner McDavid, really showed what a team with Conner McDavid on it can do again last night as the Anaheim Ducks took a 4-3 win in regulation. The budding hall of famer bested his previous record for career points with a goal and two assists and was set to give a statement regarding the watermark accomplishment to the press, post-game. The youthful wonder was cut short at the podium, however, as Oilers’ owner, Daryl Katz, instinctively wandered over and placed his arms around McDavid, in a firm yet gentle embrace, while releasing a deeply contented sigh, his head snuggled soundly at the breast of the franchise Phenom. Meanwhile, in the background, Oilers’ goaltender, Cam Talbot (14-18, .778, 31:24), was cleanly captured on film urinating into an unmarked water-bottle.
