Apple TV might be the best streaming service right now.
Lessons in Chemistry was excellent.
Now I’m on to Silo and I’m loving it. Funny because I read the first book and gave up because I didn’t like it. But it’s legit good. Makes some bold decisions after the first couple and then almost feels like it started over, and 3-5 felt like it was slowing down but it picked up and I’ve binged the rest over the last couple days. Highly recommended.
Aplle TV is the best streaming service by a pretty wide margin, imo.

Just wrapped the second season of The Leftovers. This is going to be another Lindelof special ala Lost, isn't it? Or does the fact he had to beg for a third season to complete the story mean something positive?

Don’t know how to answer without spoilers.
I’ll just say that I was disappointed.
A lot of people loved it because “it’s all about the characters and relationships”. I wasn’t one of those people.

Lost hooked me so hard. After maybe 4 or 5 seasons I started thinking "oh no". Then the final season happened and I felt duped.
It's been compressed with The Leftovers, but I see the same pattern: start with an interesting premise, introduce compelling characters, over-spend time developing these characters, add another mystery, add yet another mystery, pack on the mysteries, ignore a handful of previous mysteries, pack down 3 more mysteries, kill character(s) most involved in 90% of those mysteries....
Spoiler!
Oh hey, ####ing purgatory!
I'm just hoping it doesn't turn that way, and please nobody spoil it because this is the current show getting me on the treadmill for 2 hours a day, but damn doesn't this all feel too familiar.

I have professed my love of British panel shows before (Taskmaster, 8/10 cats, Would I lie to You, etc.)
I recently just stated watching QI (Quite Interesting) and absolutely love it. Its so hard to explain how a show like this could be good, but its just so relaxing to watch.

I just cannot get into QI, no matter how many times I've tried. That said, a lot of the same panellists participate in the annual Big Fat Quiz of the Year on Channel 4, and it's not always laugh-out-loud funny, but stuff like this never fails:
"There's a grown man with a mortgage there; 'bad dong.'" (0:55)
