It could be the first documented case of someone exaggerating or lying on the internet.
In other news, they announced on my flight to stay seated so those with connections could deplane first. It was completely ignored and the lady next to me was pissed. I felt kinda bad. Let her off before me but I’m not sure getting ahead of one person helped. People can be such aholes.

At least 28 of the 100 are American cities. I'd like to know what this list is of. Places someone else has been? Weird choices like Baltimore, but not like, Saigon, or Karachi?

Yeah, zero cities in Africa, huge US overrepresentation, Edmonton. Lots of weird choices there.

Has to have been created by someone from Edmonton. That’s the only reason I can think of for it to be on the list. It’s even in the 80s.

Just a random list I saw on Twitter thought it would be would be fun to throw in here as I know some folks are pretty well travelled. Some of the comments note the lack of cities in Africa and other points raised.

I get it is just a Twitter find, I'm curious how the cities were chosen.

I did some reverse image searching and it appears that list is from this site: https://www.worldsbestcities.com/ran...s-best-cities/
Although, the list posted is last year's list and not the current one. This year's list corrects the big mistake of putting Edmonton on a list of the best cities in the world. It also removes all the Russian cities.
The rankings are based on six categories: https://www.worldsbestcities.com/methodology/ -- It's not the 100 best places to visit or the 100 best places to live but sort of a catch-all.
The company that put this together is based in Vancouver and seems to be some sort of marketing business in general. That's probably why Canada ranks so high and Africa is not present.
The list also only includes cities over 1 million in population, so the San Jose listed is the one in California not Costa Rica.
Here's the list for 2023...

They realized how insanely expensive it has been to operate the rescue flights this week and are finally trimming the schedule to something they can actually operate.

My flight out of Newark, on my return from Johannesburg, was cancelled....twice. Not a fun experience. I took once day to go see Avatar 2 during that delay, but a lot of the rest of the time was spent in the airport.
Also United Airlines is a gong show....they wouldn't book me on any flights where any leg of the flight was any higher than Economy class. I waited in line 2+ hours multiple times to speak with agents in person, but they had no power, and I then had to wait many hours to call into their phone customer service.
Top it all off, they misrouted my luggage, fortunately YVR baggage services is awesome. They found my luggage and delivered it to my home the next day.

45 plus 4 airport/train station only
Do well in NA, pretty well in Europe and strike out everywhere else which is a blind spot I hope to remedy some day (but those plans have been pushed back a few times now for sure)
went through this with my 19 year old as she got ready to fly back so school- she's at 20, which I'd guess is more than I would have had at that age- although maybe close we had done one European Vacation style driving tour before I was that age

11 for me. 2 that I connected through their airports. 2 more with the same name (I doubt they mean London, ON, or Sydney, NS).

Even though some of the cities changed, my count didn't. - 31 + 1 airport only on last year's list.
- 31 + 1 airport only on this year's list.
