Wasn't this it?

Definitely. He wasn't very good vs SJ though, and just ok vs Chicago.

Yeah, he said that it "Was a different game than Calgary. We felt like we were pushing more in this one and we felt like the chances were there".

Kipper was the only reason why the Flames were a missed shot by David Moss away from forcing game 7 in the Detroit series. Should have been a 4 game sweep.

No matter, in whether Estrada doesn't recall that far back...

As speaking to the comparison, Cam Talbot doesn't hold a Flame to Miika Kiprusoff.

Not now, not ever.

And that right there has won them a lifetime's supply of forgiveness from me for probably anything.

Just noticed Talbot has played 61 games already, 5 more than he played all last year and the most in his career. With 14 games left he's probably going to have to start at least 10 more.

Probably at least 13 unless they go on a fluke run and wrap things up early.

I mean Brossoit has started two games in 2017, Talbot is probably looking at 12-13 depending on the playoff situation

As someone whose watched since the 80s I think Kipper's performance in that series was the best goaltending the franchise has seen in a playoff series.

That doesn't even make sense. If you were asked that at the start of the year you'd say "McDavid and Talbot will carry us far, but not that far."

You hypothetically asked yourself for a prediction at the start of the year, and answered we'll take "it"?

Since expansion, a goalie has played at least 70 games in a season 83 times.

Of those 83...
  • 4 won the Cup (Parent 1974, Fuhr 1988, and Brodeur 2000 & 2003)
  • 1 lost in the Final (Brodeur 2001)
  • 2 lost in the Conference Final (Hasek 1998 & Nabokov 2010)
  • 16 lost in the second round of the playoffs
  • 35 lost in the first round of the playoffs
  • 25 missed the playoffs entirely

Talbot is on pace for 74 games played.

How many asked for a trade at the end of the year?

Will The Edmonton Oilers Actually Fail to Make The Playoffs?

http://edmontonjournal.com/sports/ho...e-the-playoffs

Ah, fear and doubt is alive in Edmonton!

Also, there's a poll midway down the page! VOTE NO!!!

Try telling that to Oilers fans and the Rexall broadcast crew. According to Jack Michaels after tonight's game Carey Price "out Cam-Talboted Cam Talbot."

Yeah. The best goalie on the planet.

The Kings have back-to-back games coming up, and two wins for them combined with an Oiler loss against the Stars would actually take the Kings within 3 Points of the Oilers with the same amount of games played. In two days. Just imagine the glorious fire drill that would break out in Edmonton if that were to happen.

Of course it sucks to have to rely on a big run from the Kings, as well as the Blues and Preds, as it would likely affect the Flames too, but it would obviously be in everyones best interest for the Oilers to choke completely and fall ass first out of the playoffs.
