Almost ten year old Ted Talk on 'Why Privacy Matters'. A good watch for any of these ####wits though I'm sure they'd just call it antifa propaganda or some other ####:

Is CP really slow and not connecting for anyone else?

Was slow all morning. Couldn't get on from about 1-3pm on desktop or mobile. Tried it in Edge instead of Chrome and then it worked until I logged in. Cleared cache and cookies and now it's working on Chrome again. Still can't get on mobile.

CP wouldn't load at all for me last night in Chrome. Working today, though.

The point is we don't need cops - in spite of a lack of any reason for suspicion - fishing to punish citizens. As a taxpayer and a citizen I don't want to pay cops to spend time harassing people and wasting their (my) time.
I’d like to extend this to airports. No more security screening. If we get highjacked or blown up occasionally that’s a very reasonable trade off.

I think quite a lot of what happens at the airport is performative security theatre that doesn't reduce the risk of hijacking/terrorism.

Who needs hijackers and terrorists anymore when Boeing does the job for you?

Haha yeah, is he joking? Can't bring a bottle of water. They took my nasal gel for a dry nose situation last year. I'm standing in public with no belt, no shoes and my hands full of crap after walking through an xray machine just to get on a plane with bunch of people with toddlers to hit Disneyland. Ah, yeah, I'll take my chances with terrorists the same way I did before 9/11.

How old is GGG? Flying used to be easy and fun before all this nonsense. It still could be haha.

The worst part is the discrepancy between airports.

Pearson always pull me up for toiletries and I say the same thing. I flew out here with the exact same packaging from Calgary, only just a bit more liquid in the shampoo bottle.

Also if I am going through that body scanner why the #### do I need to take off my belt and hoodie to go through?

Also while we are on it the Lounge at Pearson is a complete and utter #### hole

and then they look at you like you are stupid when you remove/fail to remove an item of clothing that appears to be airport specific.

YYC:
*begins removing shoes*
TSA: "YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE YOUR SHOES!!!"

YYZ
*Leaves shoes on*
TSA: "PLEASE TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES, SIR!!

Man, I've told this before, but one time I was at the Saskatoon airport and the security freak-a-zoid put my earbuds from my iPod (this was like 20 years ago) in his fricken' ears to make sure it wasn't a bomb? Like, you stupid nasty moron.

I suspect they were pretty expensive back then, cause I felt like the appropriate response would have been to wave them off and say, “nah, they’re yours now”.

My brother was telling me about a lice breakout in his daughter's class; his other kid has been out with strep throat for two weeks.

Christ, I just couldn't be a parent. I don't have the mental fortitude for it.

Where do lice even come from? Are they native to Canada and they just end up on your scalp or what?

I feel like I see the shadow of a plane fly across the ground way more often than I should. Maybe a couple times a year, but still, that's remarkable. You'd think that'd only happen once in a lifetime (if that).
