So watching the last episode, you can buy the winning bird in a metal statue, with a removable John Oliver! 50% of proceeds going to bird conservation.
I guess I'm in the minority, I like John Oliver to a degree but let out a huge yawn every time he embarks on some lame naming/being voted in viral crusade. So dumb.
I'm going to watch that in a bit, but man alive...in the past, why is that interviewer wasting his time on 'Hot Ones?'
That guy should be working for CNN or something.
Am I the only one who can't stand him? He's as dry as ####, and that's saying something coming from me. I'll watch because I expect Oliver to tap out early but the host is boring.

He relies on his research team to get him good questions, but he's one of the most affable hosts I've ever seen do an interview. It's not easy to get people on your side when you're torturing them with hot sauce. He's very smooth in reacting to people in real time and getting them on his side.. That's a unique skillset IMO.

I find 'Hot Ones' kind of hilarious. My tolerance for Spice is fairly common knowledge around here these days.
I'd be one of those guests who would be dying on the floor. I'd insist there was an ambulance or something standing by.
That was a great interview though. Say whatever else that you will, when John Oliver is candid and honest he's great. I dont always agree with him but I love his sense of humour.
At one point he's talking about breaking his nose doing a bit and people being more concerned about the bit than his health and he says:
"Thats when I knew I was home."
I love that self-deprecating humour. So to see him on 'Hot Ones' he took that like a champ.

I don't care about what celebrities have to say 99% of the time so getting them to open up does nothing for me. I prefer when Letterman or Conan called them on their bull####.
I'll go to sleep listening to James O'Brien tearing apart Brexiters or Cody Johnston dumping on whoever. That's my happy place.

Either he has an astronomical tolerance for heat or he's cheating.

I think Evans is fantastic. He may not be your cup of tea, but he gets his guests into very natural and comfortable conversations as well as anyone I've watched.

You certainly don't, pal, because the good news is, you're fired.
