I'd like to thank everyone in the Apple community for their concern. It means a lot. I'd like to thank Tim Cook, and everyone at Apple who rose to the occasion. Thank you guys."

Had to fix that, since Genius has been on the iPhone/iPod for a while now for music.

Genius is perhaps my favorite feature on itunes and the iphone ... any update to it is welcomed with open arms. Genius mix sounds pretty cool. Hopefully this means I can use genius on a song by a canadian and not suddenly have half the tragically hip collection dumped into a playlist.

iTunes 9 is looking awesome! I love Apple's ability to take something that's great and make it even better. Still holding out for twitter/facebook within iTunes.

oh man ... better app management. iTunes is really brutal for that so this is welcome news.

As for iTunes LP, you can flip through photos and individual songs, which displays lyrics directly in iTunes for you to Karaoke along with.
|
This means that the lyrics will show up on the iPhone/iPod finally in the lyrics section right? RIGHT?

Isn't that where they show now?? If you tap when the song is playing and it has lyrics, they show up right there.

You are correct, except that songs from itunes don't come with lyrics (they have to be manually entered). Usually pirated music will come with lyrics, but not legally purchased music. That's bugged me for some time.

I can't remember the name off-hand, but there's a free app you can get will go through your library and embed lyrics in all your songs, from lyricwiki.

Nano + video is kinda cool, but the new iTunes is the biggest slice of awesome. I don't know what bug fixes are in OS3.1, so I can't really comment on that.

I've used one calle gimmesometune (i think). It was pretty good. The thing is you had to play 15 seconds of the song for it to pull the lyrics. It worked ok I suppose, but I'd always forget to run it ... some of my collection would have lyrics while others would not ... it's a nit pick thing.

That's a pretty strong nano! Impressive for people that like the nano. The $200 touch is pretty sweet too.
I'm looking forward to playing around with the new itunes.

I like the idea of Itunes LP...but they need to make it so you can scroll artwork and lyrics on the actual ipod, not just in itunes.
Finally a high capacity ipod touch. Not going to buy it at that price, but a good sign that more players with flash based memory are coming out beyond the 32 gig point.

Yawn.
iPod Nano's pretty cool I guess. Would've made sense to put it on the touch as well.
Multiple genius mixes and some fancy HTML 5 and JavaScript in the store warrants a full version number bump? mmkay.
Cripes, I hope Apple is working on something huge for the consumer in the near future.

For all the huffing and puffing today about how great the Touch is, they decide to pass it over for a camera and put it in the Nano instead?
I do have to replace my 2G Nano at some point soon due to crap battery life, do retailers put the previous, now "obsolete" versions of the Ipods on immediate clearance?

Had an idea!

They can't just simply slap the camera on there like they did on the Iphone. Apparently each gadget has a different kind of circuit.
That being said, a camera would have been seriously cool.
GPS would have been too.
But I like the price drop.

If you put a camera in the Touch, it's probably going to be too close to the iPhone. With it's wifi capabilities and the availability of skype and related applications, you almost don't need the phone. Apple doesn't want to cannibalize its own products.

Another boring Apple event.
We haven't had a shocker announcement in awhile. I miss the good ol' mid 00's announcements.
