Cammy is the king of not practising during road trips. Although it's too cold for golf in Boston right now so there goes my usual theory. Maybe he's just sticking to the gym today.

Actually, it sounds like Stempniak is at practice, but he's not doing line rushes, which is a likely indication that he'll be a healthy scratch tonight. D Jones and Galiardi are lining up with Stajan at practice.

Likely just remnants of the flu but it would be alright to send those two a message by sitting them tonight.

Remember Burke did say that even though the trade freeze was on he would still look to move any players that had previously asked for a trade.

I think it's definitely time for Stemp to be a healthy scratch. He's really struggling right now.

The Fan had Burke on and they were talking about the trade freeze. Burke stated that he always has their trade freeze start 10 days before the NHL's trade freeze.

He was asked if he would make a trade if he was offered a slam dunk gem of a deal. He said nope, but he has had players in the past ask for a trade and he told them that they then weren't a part of the trade freeze.

He did state that none of the Flames players fit that criteria, but he may have been blowing smoke.

Despite his struggles, it would be a bad idea to make Stempniak a healthy scratch. If he were scratched, they would have to say it was the flu or something, otherwise they seriously hurt his trade value. Being a healthy scratch on a team with this little talent would be pretty damning. I doubt you see any of Stempniak, Cammalleri, or Stajan, scratched unless they seriously stop giving a crap, which I don't think you'll see.

What station did you hear that on? At last report, he was cleared to play by the Bruins' doctors yesterday, and he practiced this morning with seemingly no problem.
