Also thought it would make more sense to scratch Byron, unless they plan on playing Monahan on the wing until he's back in game shape.

Byron has been excellent since being recalled. I believe he had two points last game, including setting up the game winner. It would be stupid to scratch him.
Byron brings more than he gets credit for.....Excellent on the penalty kill because his speed his such a threat.
Galiardi being scratched is the right choice IMO.

My prediction flames win by a large number of goals to a little number of goals against, buffalos third jersey sends gratts into a rage 4 players have to leave the game due to wet pants, and I wont be drunk....

I agree regarding Byron, just meant positionally since he seems like the obvious centre to come out. He can easily play wing though.

Plus, Byron is a former Sabre, and it's about time for the Flames to get some of the old "player has a big game against his former team" magic that always seems to work against the Flames.

I hope they made the decision on Monahan with enough time for his parents to make the drive down from Brampton.

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers 2m
Monahan told me earlier in the week he was pain free and would try to work his way back into the lineup. Looks like he has.
sounds like the boot is just more of a precaution by the doctors
edit:
Flames will get Enroth... Miller getting the night off

With Sven out, only Svean remains.

We'd have Stajan, Monahan, Backs....so it's a toss up between Colborne or Byron as the 4C.
