Besides adding Bennett to the Backlund line, I like Ferland, Stajan and Jones getting reunited.

This is a good game to see how we stack up.
I expected us to be better than the Canucks, I expected us to be worse than the Blues and I expect us to be around the Jets level.
Plus 1-3* is not a good way to start the season.

Go Flames Go! Pumped for a Friday night game, will make the hangover easier tomorrow. Pilsners are already in the fridge.
First line breaks out tonight, Gaudreau with a hat trick.

Looking for the captain to have a good game tonight, he hasn't really had the best start to the season. Agree with everyone that we don't want to dig too much of a hole to start the season, points this weekend are crucial.
I think we scrape out a W, 3-2 Flames.

I predict a great night from the Bennett-Backlund-Frolik line.
Been waiting for this line since we signed Frolik.

Damn, essentially same time as the Jays game. Looks like I'll be watching during commercial breaks.

I'll be watching the Flames game from start to finish because baseball is the most boring team sport on the planet.

A year ago, on the road against Winnipeg, was Johnny Hockey's coming out party for 2014/15.
I think this year it might be Sam's turn.

The Raymond-Jooris-Bollig line is quite an experiment...will be interesting to see what comes from that. Maybe Jooris and Bollig can create a little room for Raymond to skate around in.
Should be a good Western tilt with a lot of emotion. Here's hoping that 2nd line can produce and our D-men can keep up with the pace of the Jets to put this one in the win column.
Here's also hoping Ramo does not do his best impression of a dying fish on the ice tonight.

By the time the Flames game is done, they might finish the first inning.

The Jets are no joke, I've watched them a play in the pre season and regular season and I come away very impressed. If the Flames come in and have a slow start or they only play 2 of 3 periods it's gonna get ugly.
I think Pavelec is their weakness tho he can be inconsistent.

What is the over under on ice-time for Raymond-Bollig-Jooris --- This is the true 4th line.... if Backlund was only getting 8-10 minutes putting this line together basically says the flames are rolling 3 lines
May as well have McGrattan and/or Westgarth glaring from the bench.

This will be a tough test. Just want to see a full 60 minute effort, which we haven't really seen this year, IMO.
I know the record looks basically the same as last year, but to me the Flames haven't had the same consistent jump they did last year. Perhaps a tough road test such as this one will light that fire, and we'll get on a roll with the coilers coming up next.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

I used to believe this as well, but the 7th inning of the last Jays game was one of the most electrified and intense sporting events I have ever seen.
Sucks they are on at the same time. I will likely start with the Flames, then move to commercial breaks.

Things need to start clicking better. We are losing but we are losing because of moronic mistakes over and over. Terrible line changes, terrible penalties, awful passing in the offensive zone, terrible breakout passes.
These things can be fixed once the guys settle down a little and start to play their game as they are shooting themselves in the foot with the unforced errors. If they just calm down and play a more simple game in their own zone things will be fine. It's not like we're really being dominated, just being sloppy.
