yep back in the 90s(?) that goal would be disallowed. It was deemed to be unfair cause those 3 guys had nothing to do with anything. So they allow that now which sometimes makes the offside rule even more confusing.

Any idea how bad his injury is? I've googled it, but there's just a lot of speculation amongst all. Is it just fitness now?

I deserved it, that was terrible.

I did some errands this morning and bought a proline ticket.

Italy WIN 2.30
Japan WIN 2.45
Switzerland DRAW 2.95

dunno

If you listen to that stupid Barker guy on CBC he said Suarez will determine how Group D plays and then 10 minutes later says he doesn't think Suarez will be play in the entire tournament.

That guy is awful. I hear the women's coach Herdman will join the panel in the upcoming days, must be to replace this guy.

Realistically Uruguay shouldnt need Suarez against Costa Rica.

Yup. Women play Germany in Vancouver on Wednesday and then Herdman joins the panel after that.

I wish they had 4 games every day, so nice to get a game at 7 pm today.

So hard to cheer for a team in the England/Italy match, hate them both so much you have the Vancouver Canucks of soccer vs the dirty Italians. I might have to go with Italy just because England and their fans are so annoying.

ABC/ESPN's coverage has been vastly superior to CBC's.

Hopefully this younger team England opens strong against the greasy Italians.

Not much controversy in that penalty.

Oh yes, wrapping your hands around an opponent's waist is certainly a penalty.

"You cant do that."

Yeah that was definitely a penalty, but the embellishment by Lugano was hilarious.

Thats a good lineup. If they can keep Pirlo quiet and pour on some of the pace against Italy I think England have a good chance.

This coming from someone who normally actively cheers against England.

This is the type of game that turns North Americans off on soccer.

It's been a very, slow, tactical and defensive game on both sides.
