Seems to move beautifully. Has insanely good stats. What a great pick for a 7th round. Happy with this draft given the less than stellar places to pick.
Shades of a goalie version of a Gaudreau pick?

All I can get
Not the first Silvertip goalie the Flames have picked.

Interesting pick. Has all the skills, but as a 5'11 G the cards will always be stacked against him. If he were 6'3 he might have been the 2nd G off the board behind Knight.

Looks like he moves really well and has a good glove.
I don't know about that size though. At 5'10 he's going to be leaving a lot of room up top for NHL calibre players.

I like the fact they're taking explosive smaller goalies. With equipment shrinking these guys are making a come back over the big blocking goalies.
Having Wolf and Parsons and Schneider to a lesser extent is smart.

1.69 GAA and .936 SV% in 61 games.
The only WHL goalie with better stats was his backup who only played 13 games. Better stats than every OHL and QMJHL goalie too.

Texting with a friend of mine that I went to Silvertips training camp with back in the day, he still follows the team quite a bit (because he wasn't cut pretty much immediately like I was)
He says Wolf is closer to 6ft tall, was highly touted even going into the WHL draft but was picked late because it was thought he wanted to go the college route. Was backup to Carter Hart then put the team on his back last year when Hart went to the WJC. This was his first year as the starter and really came into his own, won CHL goalie of the week once or twice. Doesn't know him personally but heard he's a great kid, very upbeat. Obviously has unreal numbers
Really seems like terrific value for the 7th round

Is there an Everett Silvertips goalie coach? If so, who are they? That person is a magician.

Don't know anything about the player but the stats are impressive and it was a nice moment to see his friends and family so pumped.
