It really is a shame that he wasn't fit for the Euro Cup this summer.
Would have made a huge difference for the Italy midfield.

Barcelona's midfield could not compete. Messi looking like a complete rookie with some of those passes.

What a save by Ospina to temporarily keep Arsenal in the tie. And then seconds later it's over.

Looks like our players picked the right week to take up sniffing glue.

Mustafis "defending" during the 4th goal was outstanding. They whole reason for conceding is that Mustafi misses Thiago because he's busy shouting at Bellerin ... and of course his reaction to the goal is more shouting at Bellerin.

And that was an out-of-form Bayern. So can Arsenal just forfeit the second leg?
Granted, Bayern are notorious for phoning in the second leg of a tie that's more or less decided.

Bayern are not out-of-form. This is just typical Ancelotti - do the absolute minimum all year, unleash the beast in the big games. He's basically the anti Guardiola.

And normally I'd agree with you, but this is the first time in what seems like ages that they have a credible title contender breathing down their necks rather than their normal 'million-point' cushion.

How lame are you? You didn't need to go to Vegas to spend all your time on CP.

lol yeah. Poor Bayern, only 7 points ahead of Leipzig. And Leipzig is not a credible title contender, come on now. They'll surely be in a couple of years, but right now they sure as hell aren't. They were humiliated against Bayern too. Bayern are a top 3 club in Europe right now, and they have been for 5 years or so. The constant understatement is pretty lame dude.
Arsenal on the other hand should be ashamed of themselves ... even Müller scored, that has to sting. Özil performed his usual disappearing act in a meaningful game, it's pathetic. The collapse in the back 4 was unexcuseable, they ran around like headless chickens without Koscielny. Gabriel, Mustafi, Ox, Coquelin ... simply not good enough for that level. Sanchez is their only top class player, and if I were him, I'd be out asap. Wenger certainly has overstayed his welcome, the quicker they move on the better.

What do you do when your wife goes shopping? I'm stuck at an outlet mall drinking bad wine in the only place it's sold and posting on my phone. I was reading game updates because this podunk watering hole didn't get the channel.

The great thing about winning our group is we now know what we have to do at home in the second leg.
