Haha. Yeah it could be Johnny Calgary for a bit. Tough road stretch I'm sure he'll get a couple in regardless

Hartley typically doesn't adjust the line-up much after losses, but it wouldn't shock me if Gaudreau is scratched at some point (even tomorrow).

I'd guess he's ok with it.

Yes. Well, I hope you guys are right (and I suspect you are). I just think Burke has a huge influence on this whole thing and I don't want to see Paul Byron thrown away simply because he's small. I do understand that Treliving is the GM and he may have a different philosophy than Burke, but I will not discount the effect that a huge personality like Burke could have.

When Johnny comes out with a 3 point night in the next couple games, we will be changing our tune about sitting him out every odd game. Goals will be hard to come by against better opponents, and we'll need his skill and creativity to come through for us.
Not saying it's a bad idea, just that as soon as the offense starts drying up against the likes of the big western teams, I don't think sitting him out will continue to be an option in most minds.

It's seriously not the end of the world if Johnny watches the St Louis game from the pressbox.
It's not a "punishment" thing, as I think he's played very well & has had bad luck to not pick up any points (he's +2 & was involved in the build-up to 2 goals). He could potentially benefit from a bit of rest (flu) & a birds-eye-view of the way a good team like St Louis plays the game.

I doubt Johnny sits today, however if he does it's for the best. The coach hasn't seen him the way I have and I really have no say in how much time Johnny gets on the ice. I think he's been brilliant with the puck and better than decent without. But if he's not getting offensive zone faceoffs and constantly starting in his own zone with a centreman that can't get him the puck there is no point in playing him in my opinion.

Yup I had the feeling he would be scratched for this game after being demoted to the 4th line last game. I'm ok with it as long as he gets chances to redeem himself.

I would be a little dissapointed if JG sat. He isn't putting up points but at even strength he is one of the Flames better shot attempt producers...

It doesn't have anything to do with the offense of the team IMO. If he is playing well he'll play. If he is struggling and could use a game in the press box, then so be it.

It's Pee Wee level hockey stuff.
WHere are you supposed to be as a winger when the puck is behind your own net?
Answer: ANYWHERE BUT THE NEUTRAL ZONE
