And the thing is, this isnt a prudent strategy.
If you're playing a stronger opponent the last thing you want to do is give them more time at the end, especially in the era of 5 subs.
They're going to be fresher, hungrier and more desperate, the last thing you should want to tack on more extra time rolling about.
And goalkeepers wasting time really pisses me off.

Thats an interesting Stat.
Bayern has 2 more points this season than last season at this stage.
Thats how good Leverkusen have been.

it gets crazier when you consider that Bayern only went 3-1-3 over their last 7 league games. They were on a torrid pace themselves before that, but that was mainly result driven ... not like they regularly played teams off the park, they just edged out victories. But the wheels have since come off, they've crashed out of the DFL Cup, the football hasn't been pretty and Tuchel is notoriously difficult.
Always good to see Lazio crash out though. Their fans are the biggest scumbags in European football, so enjoy that loss you fascist pricks.

A group of Lazio fans sang fascist chants in an infamous historical place in Munich on the eve of their team’s clash with Bayern Munich.
According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, around a hundred Lazio supporters gathered in an infamous beer hall in Munich named Hofbräuhaus before the Champions League Round of 16 fixture against Bayern Munich. They brandished the Duce salute and sang fascist chants in the historic brewery.

The hissing during a europa league game vs spurs like 10 years ago was louder than I'd ever heard vs west ham or chelsea who used to regularly do it, it felt like every Lazio ultra was doing it with glee

It was poetic justice. Porto were playing for penalties and then fell on thier diving time-wasting faces.

So....who is surprised?
England Squad:
Midfielders: Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Jordan Henderson (Ajax), James Maddison (Tottenham Hotspur), Declan Rice (Arsenal)

You almost have to admire Southgate for his stubbornness and blind loyalty. I mean, you also have to tar, feather and shoot him to the moon, don't get me wrong. And I'll wildly celebrate the day he leaves the NT. But it's still impressive.

Good for Henderson though. Completely debased himself going to Saudi Arabia, still isn't very good, still gets to be a nailed on starter this summer.

Somehow I'm not sure that Sparta Prague are going to get back into this tie.

Oh ye of little faith...
Anyways, sorry I saw 'International' and kind of glossed over that this was a club-based thread.

If only they actually rigged the draw it wouldn't be so lopsided. PSG pretty much get a layup to the final, while the other half is brutal.

It definitely won't be a stroll to Wembley. At least the away allocations will be decent!

I like it, I think thats a great draw.
Sure, I'm hoping Bayern make it through, but each of those matches looks like they'll be a lot of fun to watch.

Is it still clubs from the same country cannot face each other in the quarters? If so, the aren't much combinations for this 2-German, 2-English, and 3-Spanish club setup...
