I agree, hes a solid player and I wish Klopp had been in on that.

Don't think it happens unless Valenica sign Mangala first. Fingers crossed...

I didn't think it was likely he'd play, as he's been off the pitch for a while, and just started training today -- but Pogba has a 1 game ban, and will be ineligible for the game vs Bournemouth.

Noticed at the footnote, that Joey Barton is banned too. Also, water is wet.

On the eve of the season I figured I would take a stab at predicting the top five, bottom three and golden boot. Would love to see some others!
Top Five:
1. Tottenham Hotspur: They kept the team together, added some depth with a couple good signings and the young guys have another year of experience. Its going to be a dogfight, but this could be their year!
2. Manchester City: I think they're poised to have a great season and have added some quality this summer.
3. Chelsea: They made some good signings (and are giving Batshuayi a ridiculous amount of money at the same time) and should be more consistent under Conte.
4. Woolwich. Cruising along and in the hunt until it matters when they fade back.
5. Liverpool: I think a full season under Klopp should have them fighting for top four again.
HM: Manchester United: I just don't know if them buying the big names and mashing them together will work. I partly hope it doesn't because the car wreck would be amusing to watch.
Relegation:
1. Hull City: they're just in disarray in general. Its asking a lot to overcome the issues they have as a club to avoid the drop.
2. West Bromwich: I could just pick all the newly promoted, but where is the fun in that. They're also not great and have been really quiet this window.
3. Palace/Sunderland: I couldn't decide between these two. I think that Pardew and Moyse can keep these clubs up, but I don't think it will be pretty.
Golden Boot: Sergio Aguero. Hes just so good if he can keep his fragile hamstrings together for a full season.

Caveat: If Chelsea gets Mahrez, I'm going bold and picking them to win the league.

Pretty sweet goal to start the season, didn't expect it to be Hull scoring it.

I think Leicester will comeback to win it in the 2nd half but nice for the Hull fans who are going through quite the mess. Nice skill on the goal!

I thought that was definitely a foul, but appeared just outside the box.

Both defenses are horrible so far. Leicester looks lost without Kante.

Leicesters defensive organization has been shambolic today. Pretty surprising.
But kudos to Hull, they are playing pretty well today. Especially when you consider their situation (interim manager, penny pinching owners, injuries, only 13 available players) ...

Well that was fitting really. Last season was weird because of Leicester winning and some of the big clubs struggling. So what happens first game of their title defense / they lose of course!

happy for Mike Phelan. Seeing him in a suit instead of his trademark shorts was pretty weird though.

Next three weeks for Leicester: vs. Arsenal, at Liverpool, at United. Could be an ugly start for them if they can't figure out their defensive issues.
