They were down 3-2 in the third.
"Never stood a chance" sounds like something you would post after a 7-1 drubbing.
Just three pitchers of orange Kool aid deep at all times.

Allegedy.
The Hockey News article seems to have been pulled.

Appears the hockey news picked up a tweet from someone random and unsubstantiated ran with it from there. At least that’s how it seems and there’s been no word of any actual investigation.
Given thn has pulled their story and there’s been zero further on this I’m guessing it didn’t happen the way it was first reported. If it did, I would be one of the first to cheer for punishment, Shows what the hockey news has become.

First off, Zadorov is amazing and I miss him. I laughed so hard when he dumped Kane into the bench last night, hilarious stuff.
I told my Oiler loving family members that the Oilers playoff hopes will come down to their goalie, everything else seems good enough to make a good run. Lol, Skinner as the number one and paying Campbell for what 4 more years at 5 mill? They are screwed on that contract and will have to buy him out this summer. Love to see it.
Edmonton is no good.

Putting more pressure on poor goaltending always turns out well! I’m excited.

It's even more hilarious because now the choice is between a guy they destroyed and launched to the minors and Calvin freaking Pickard.

Nurse-Ceci pairing remains a major problem for Oilers
Quote:
If Edmonton is going to salvage this series and season, I return to a critical recommendation: The team must split up the ghastly defensive pairing of Darnell Nurse and Cody Ceci.
At even strength, they have already played 50 minutes together head-to-head with the Canucks and have been outscored 5-1 (-4) in the process.
Nurse and Ceci’s matchups are scattered across Vancouver’s top three lines – the most common opponents they have faced so far include Conor Garland, Elias Lindholm, and Dakota Joshua. Quality forwards, but still a cut below the likes of Elias Pettersson and company. But Nurse and Ceci still aren’t winning these minutes.

It is literally the second worst thing about that gd city. How do you think its a good design idea by making an Eraserhead Horse Baby by taking the worst parts of both a traffic circle and an intersection....
I hate that one of my biggest accounts for work is right on that demon spawn traffic circle so I need to go there every time I go to that god forsaken city.

lol.
It actually will be awesome if they go to him next game. Tossing in a journeymen AHL goalie, because your starting goalie sucks, and you sent another packing after the team quit on him.

Norm!

Somewhere Jack Campbell is sighing contentedly as he realize that even playing on a minor league team on the 7th circle of hell is better then not only playing behind the Oilers defense, but dealing with their media and fans.
