The preorders went super quick, but there's a couple things that could work in your favour.
1. Expectations of gamers are super high and this is a 1.0 hardware release. In my opinion there's too many people who think this is going to be Lawnmower Man right out of the box. I've been following a subreddit and there's a ton of people who think they're just going to live in it. People like that will be disappointed and will likely try to sell it.
2. The unit has been completed for a while now, so they've had an opportunity to make tons of them. Maybe getting one without a preorder won't be so bad?

Thanks man, I'm less involved in the Escape side but stay tuned, work is currently in progress to add significantly to that.
As for VR, if anybody is looking to try something specific, I can look into adding it to the games library but there are some hoops to jump through for some games as we need to apply for commercial licenses!
We are looking at booking for 20ish people for an hour as part of a bachelor party on the 26th of November. How much notice do you guys need?
So Walmart cancelled my PSVR pre-order because apparently they weren't going to have it available in a timely fashion so they just cancelled the order. Not to freaking happy about that!
I got an email from them as well claiming issues with billing. Ironically I was up super late playing WoW and had a look on their website. They were still taking pre-orders at 1:30 AM so they must have been cancelling orders and freeing up inventory. I didn't bother making a new order as I am covered elsewhere.
Haha, got the same email but checked online and it says processing and they charged my card so those are some positive signs.
Cool. Good luck and I hope you enjoy VR!
If you haven't already, don't forget to pre order the games on Amazon with their discount if you are going the physical route. If you are going digital I would go via staples for the discounted psn cards. They email out discount codes if you sign up for messages from them.

Still debating on keeping it or flipping. The wife is trying g to tell me it's my Xmas present and I can't open it until then anyways
Purolator tracking indeed does show estimated delivery for Thursday for me.
Me too. I was hoping to be able to set up without distraction, but I'd be willing to wager the delivery will coincide closely with my 6 year old getting home from school.
What games are you getting? The RIGS reviews that came out today are swinging me pretty strong in that direction.

Well to be up front, I probably don't do things like a normal reasonable person (adult). But I've pre ordered all the physical VR games available at Amazon. But I'm really looking forward to Battlezone, Rez and Thumper. If I haven't already played them in the Vive and Oculus I would add EVE and job simulator as well. Rigs is good but I've never been all too into the multiplayer games. Still it was fun when I demoed it.
Walmart originally cancelled my (backup) preorder. Then quickly emailed me to assure me that it was not in fact cancelled. Now they have messaged me again to tell me that the preorder is now cancelled due to their limited stock.
I got an email again today that my Walmart order was cancelled then another email saying that that email was an error and that it's still going to be shipped soon. Wtf Walmart.... Get your crap together!
