Loki is already confirmed as back again for Thor 2, so he'll probably have another role, and a large part of the movie will continue to be Asgardian politics.
Just to be clear, as I'm not a comic book reader/follower.....but Thanos was the guy that appeared at the end of Avengers? The one dude was whining to him, and he looked over his shoulder and kinda smiled?

That is correct.

Yes.
He's never been a villain with a ton of depth, but since the Infinity Gauntlet series ('92, '93 maybe) he's been one of my favourites. 10-11 year-old me just loved Thanos, and it's stuck.

Well, that sounds exciting. I hope that Asgardian Question Period is a lot more riveting than the same thing in Canada.

I disagree on the depth thing. As far as villains go, he's pretty well fleshed out. Grew up as a deformed mutant. Falls in love with death. Sometimes acts as good guy.

Has to be deep if he fell in love with depth.

I wonder if they will end one of the other movies (Thor 2, Cap 2, IM 3) as a lead in to the new Avengers film.
Say at the end of Thor 2, Thor may be getting his lunch handed to him by Thanos who is on the verge of acquiring the Cosmic Cube, and the movie then ends with Fury saying "Avengers Assemble".
I finally got to see it last night and I loved it. So well done. I really thought the hype would wreck it for me but it lived up to the hype without a doubt. Not flawless certainly but it was a damned good superhero movie.
Got to watch it for the first time tonight, very good movie.
For the Blu-ray, the 7.1 audio was quite good, but the bass could be a bit better. Picture quality was also good, but they didn't keep the original 1.85:1 aspect ratio
