I must say that I love the fact that HBO has effectively decided to fund Oliver's lunacy.
"No, no, dial it up to 11."
I love it. Just awesome.
Honestly the show is probably one of their cheaper ones to produce overall, while bringing it a lot of viewership and accolades. It wouldn't surprise me if most of their budget goes to these types of ventures.
After a summer break that seemed to last forever, Oliver knocked it out of the park tonight. His interview with Anita Hill was exceptional. I like that he doesn’t do a lot of interviews and focuses on the longer segments but this one was great.

In New York City this weekend and scored tickets to tonight's taping of LWT.
Must say I was very much impressed, from the quick QandA before the show to ripping the whole episode in one (kind of 2) takes. He had to restart a segment due to a technic error and at the end he had to redo 2 lines.
The man is super funny and it was really cool to see him live in action!

A clip of the Global Calgary weather guy, Jordan Witzel, in his unicorn Halloween costume made the last segment of the show last night.

Another great show. I find his deep dive topics to be a perfect combination of hilarious and thought provoking. While he may lean left, I wish people wouldn't be so dismissive.
