That might've been the strangest response to any post on here I've ever seen and I've been on the receiving end of a few of them. You're good. Keep it up.

If in fact it was rigged, there would have to be a large contingent of people involved, so it could not be kept a secret.

Exactly, and Bettman was obviously displeased when the Oilers won the McDavid lottery. He could barely keep it together.

Yeah, the rigging stuff is fantasy, there's too much to it and the results aren't there. Any sports league wants their biggest population and TV markets winning. The lottery results don't support this, espeically Edmonton winning four times, including getting a generational talent.

When I hear fans suggest that the league wanted to help Edmonton, I just laugh and walk away. There's conspiracies, but it has to actually make some sense that the powers that be would want it happen.

That's not even mentioning that the league is basically run by the owners. So yeah "totally, **** my team over and rig it so this other team wins, yep we're all on board with that one!".

on a different draft rigging issue, watching the details on the Patrick Ewing draft in the NBA sure looked pretty suspicious. good watch if you havent seen it before

I don't think any of the Oilers draft lotteries were rigged...but I still have my suspicions about the Crosby lottery

With the way the bottom 4 are shaping up I have Chicago getting 1AO again, just as I said they would last year.

Was at the Finland/Latvia game yesterday, Konsta Helenius is going to be a player. Has good vision and does a lot of things right. Will likely be in the range of where the Flames pick.

that franchise going from Toews/Kane to Bedard/Celebrini would really suck. But it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Situations like this is why it would be neat to have a second 1st round pick in the draft.

I've been beating the drum we need to aim for 2 more 1st rounders in trade returns.

Our Scouts have proven lately they are finding good talent all over the 1st round.
