I do hope it gets better. It was so nice to have a day of blue sky yesterday. Calgary is supposed to get the most sunny days of all Canadian cities but it feels like 2022 has had far less than we are accustomed to.

We finally get rain and the weather needed to keep forest fires away and these responses are already taking over? It's already predicted to be a hot, dry July and August and it'll be really awesome, but we needed this.
You can't get what you need for a nice, green, non-forest fire summer while simultaneously having a hot dry....entire late spring/summer.

I'll take rain all day every day in June if it means no smoke in July and August.

My kid is pissed about this rain. He has been wanting to go to Winsport for some mountain biking with his friends for three weekends now and the opening date keeps getting pushed back because of the wet trails

Ironically that might make things worse in some cases. A few years ago BC had a very wet spring coming off a high snowpack. Then a very hot summer. The result was everything grew like mad early in the year and then provided a lot of extra fuel for wildfires when it dried out.
But rain in June is not a bad thing generally.

I'm personally loving this weather, things were too dry and brown before. That and I'm just a pluviophile. I will admit I'm a little worried this is hinting at a mild, grey summer however...but I know that's not what they're predicting anyway. We'll see.

The days that have been sunny have been nice and hot, so I'm not worried about it being a mild summer. The rainy season should end by early July I would expect, and bring the hot weather.
I do hope that when it does rain throughout the summer, we get some sweet thunderstorms.

No complaints from me for the rain. It felt like we desperately needed it. I know my lawn's looking great.

Oh yeah, I love that lush green look all over the city. That has as much of a positive effect on me mentally as hot, sunny days. Some people love hot and sun and dried, brown grass and foliage doesn't really matter to them as long as they can sun soak.
I'm not like that, green and lush, and some cool rainy days mixed in with a greater percentage of hot and sunny feels really refreshing and beautiful to me.

In a perfect world from May to October it would be a high of about 25 every day, but pour rain for two hours mid afternoon

I'm with Ducay or Estrada or whoever said it recently. Wind is worse than pretty much any bad weather event out there. It just destroys my ability to enjoy outside in any way, shape or form, regardless of how nice the day is otherwise.
It ruins a really nice day and multiplies the crappiness of a cold, crappy day exponentially.

Oh yeah, I've said it many times before.
You can dress for the weather, but wind ruins everything.

Sorry, what hot days? We've had a few since April over 20, and one over 25. That's not hot. And every day comes with big winds.

For one, 25 is plenty hot, don't be a freak.
Two, I didn't say that was our current weather, I said that was as good as you could get, in the vein of btimbit's "In a perfect world..."
