Needed the rain, but we are stuck on the tarmac because of lightning, no idea when the ground crew will be allowed outside.

Nothing for me in Tuscany, after all. A cell passed through Cochrane to the west, and the one that hit part the city was to the east. Lame.

I'm at Lindsay Park gym with earphones in playing music and could hear a huge BOOOOM that basically drowned out my music about an hour ago, impressive. At last!! Perhaps the rest of this week will finally bring the rain..

Weather Network says 35-45 mm of rain tomorrow. I can't ever remember seeing it that high in Calgary.

I am ready to be let down.

Maybe we’ll go from heat warning to flood warning.

Oh good now it’s hot and humid instead of just hot. And barely enough rain to wet the sidewalk.

That afternoon rain also developed a weird funk downtown. I'm not sure what it is but the smell was really weird.

It’s just all the dried meth and piss that the rain brought out.

So happy for the rain to finally knock out the pollen and clean out the air.

All the snow in the mountains is gone way early this year. We'll be fine.

At this time of year the town of High River has an electronic sign by the bridge into town letting residents know what level the river is. Nothing this year.

It's always High. That's the city limits sign.

I'm assuming you know this but you can always check river/reservoir levels all over the province at https://rivers.alberta.ca/

praise be for the rain.

Looks like the next week will be Vancouver-ish weather, which isn't ideal, but I'll take that over zero precipitation.
