At least he's starting from the ground up. No VP position right out of the gate, thankfully.

Shouldn't a conditioning coach have some sort of physical fitness background? Other than being a player, what's Smyth's education? None, I suspect, since he was a junior player that went right into pros and I don't think he went to school after playing.

It is an extremely part time position where he is working with injured players getting back into game shape.

"I'm working with the injured players on the transition from being with the trainers to get them game-ready and pass them on to the coaches. The trainers let me know how much I can lean on them, push on them a little bit in the corners, do a little bit of board work. Get their legs back up to game shape, get them ready to go, because I remember that transition period
Chad Drummond is the Oilers Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Chad Drummond is the Oilers Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
The Oilers method of getting injured players into game shape is "Get the F back out there Souray".

How can you be a 'very part-time' conditioning coach? Isnt 'conditioning' by its very nature a more or less 'full-time' deal?

No Good.

All it means is that Ryan can go skate with the injured players and he gets paid for it...

What a couple good looking dudes. I'm sure they would have landed these women even if they were regular guys.

Yeah way to show Gertzky and Smyth likely 20 years after they got married, you really proved how ugly they are.

And plenty of regular looking guys get good looking women.
