I am worried that Lowe is going to take the fall for this but knowing the Oilers Messier will be the guy they bring in
As for Nuge and Eberle partying post game it has been rumored the kids care more about their social life than hockey by Duhatchek and they have quite the country club locker room in Edmonton

I remember when the "Oilers rule" used to mean no 4-on-4 hockey for coincidental minors because they dominated in that setting. How the mighty have fallen!

And
What the hell am I doing defending the Oilers when I should be laughing?

Besdies Gagner who has only played 1 game, Schultz leads the Oilers in even strength TOI. It's crazy someone so inept in his own zone could be relied on so much.

They either need to teach him to pick his spots better or just put him on the wing as you can't win with guys playing like that.

The last thing the Oilers need is another smallish, soft forward who is completely useless in their own end!
Honestly, think about this: if they swapped Schultz and Hemsky, and put Hemsky on D, would anyone even notice?

Actually when you look at their record it's exactly what you would expect. You overly rely on a defenseman that can't play defense and you go 3-9-2. It's one of those things where Eakins is reaping what he sews.

Probably not which is why they either need to force him to play some fundamental defense or change him to forward.

It seems that this year's meeting was held ahead of schedule.

It begins...
@EdmontonOilers #Oilers place defencemen Denis Grebeshkov and Corey Potter on waivers.

So after careful evaluation Garbagekov is still garbage. Funny thing though, he is+1 on the year with the oiler team leader being +2 (4 players). Sure he has only played 3 games. Was last night really the last straw?

Well he will be a RFA at the end of this season, for as much of a disaster as he is in his own end, I'm sure he's due for a hefty raise and the Oilers will give it to him.
But I doubt he gets the offer sheets that he thought would come his way.
