Loved watching him play as a young guy. I really don’t care what kind of human he is/was out side of the game. Their job as athletes is to entertain us, nothing more.

And their resulting jobs as role models?

Don’t pick athletes, movie stars as roll models. They are entertainment.

It’s not about him being a role model
I just wish he would shut up

I don't read his tweets and really only hear what he has to say if I click a few CP threads. Not sure why people can't just ignore him. People are going to do what they are going to do.

Twitter isn't reality. If you met Theo in real life, you probably would come away with a positive experience... he's just a guy.

...but when he's advocating in favor of a virus that's killed so many people (not just with Covid, but with beds not being available for other medical issues), unfortunately he's causing damage. Which is where I flip from "great player, went through horrific abuse that f-ed him up" to "Go Away Theo, you're out of your mind."

So go away Theo.

You're out of your mind and you're hurting people.

Following Theo on Twitter made me realize why his number hasn’t been retired yet and why he isn’t in the HOF

I think he was implying something considerably more harsh though than the casual “you need help” you might throw at someone with crazy ideas. Fleury has definitely brought it up on himself with his little crusade, but still, I didn’t like the remark given what we do know of Fleury’s past and demons- that he has apparently dealt with.

I wonder if the Flames have or will reach out to him and ask him to stop posting pictures of himself in Flames merchandise. The Flames brand is always appearing in his feed and I wonder if it is hurting the Flames business?

Not sure there's anything they could do about it. I doubt he'd stop if they asked. He's not a big fan of them and the feeling is mutual.

If they photos he posts are copyrighted, they might have an opportunity there but otherwise they just have to deal with it.

Probably nothing they can legally do, but they might reach out and just ask politely.

I would.

It's better than ignoring it.

I think for a guy like Fleury, ignoring is the best course of action. Pretend he doesn't even exist. He only does what he does for the attention and to have anyone stroke his fragile ego.
