Another fun fact…that brain cavity is about the size of a chicken egg.
I read that on a display at the Tyrell Museum.

That's a shame.
Couldn't happen to a better guy/better team.

In my head, I see the show “dinosaurs” with the edmontonsaurus showing up at parties wearing sweatpants and good shoes.

And slew foot practice.
On topic, is this not exactly on brand for Kane?

That sucks.
Kane isn't really consequential to their team anymore and if anything, seems to be more of a negative for them. It probably means more ice time for Foegele who is probably a better player than Kane at this point, and almost certainly better liked on the team.

My guess? Kane needed a little attention and an excuse for his poor play. He throws this out there, "plays through" something that doesn't exist in the hopes that he comes off like a hero. If he sucks and doesn't engage physically, we all know why.

The Vegas move is having a player get hurt during the regular season and go on LTIR to save some money off the cap. Then add someone big at the trade deadline using the LTIR money and the hurt player mysteriously comes off LTIR in time for the playoffs. The playoff roster is then more than a regular season roster could afford.
Having an expensive player announce an injury at the end of the regular season and be unable to play for the playoffs is more like the opposite of the Vegas move. It is paying full price in the regular season for a lesser roster in the playoffs. We could call the an E=ng move.

All of this is karma. This is a guy who has very believable allegations against him that he's a deadbeat father, a gambling addict, and pulled a gun on one of his baby mamas. #### him and the oilers, and the league for letting him sign after allowing sj to cancel his contract. And for good measure the Players Association for enabling an alleged wife beater. Again.

Are they going to buy him out? How many buyouts do they get?
No one is going to want to trade for the cancerous Kane who has two years at more than $5 million/[per left on his contract. He has been kicked off every team he has played for.
Maybe they send him to the minors and have another $5/million per player in the AHL.

The problems the Oilers have are: they cannot afford to put any of their big contract on LTIR and no one will waive to go there.
