Yeah, I think we'll get good social distancing here in Alberta since everyone saw BC open up first followed by closures due to inability to follow measures by golfers.

I just can't wait to hit clubs again. I'll be at Serenity on Tuesday. Thanks for the heads up on food. Drinks won't be a problem...

I golfed yesterday, and was just telling someone at work about it, and really it is very easy to be social distancing. Unless you are sharing weed, I can't think of why you would get too close to someone else. The rule is you have your own cart unless you live in the same residence, and I did see some couples but otherwise it looked like a bunch of singles playing.

First round for me tomorrow. Could not be more excited...

Finally took the plunge and Im at Willow this year. Only played the course once so should be a fun season.

They have done a pretty good job with communication and even have a video for all of the members to watch prior to the first round detailing what to expect at the club.

There are no guests allowed currently so its kind of nice in that the tee sheet is very accessible. Its my first year grabbing a membership and I was kicking myself because I figured I would be missing half the season...might turn out to be the best season to have done it.

I forgot to mention, that invention to get the ball out of the cup is pretty cool...but they're really not strong enough. Most were broken yesterday.

I wish they'd open the driving ranges soon. I don't see why they can't close every other stall to maintain distances. Balls are already washed after each use at most places anyways.

It seems some are and some are not. Have not been to any but a few websites seem to imply that they are open (both stand alone ranges and also at courses).

The courses are in good shape for this point in the year. Some rain will be good to green things up, but overall they’re reasonable for the late snow we’ve had and a bit of a later spring in general.

Not much for food/beverage options at this point, so you might want to plan ahead on that front.
How are the greens at BD? They were brutal last year.

Actually decent. When I played there last year they were terrible as well, and they were doing quite a bit of work in them. That seems to have paid off. Not amazing, but they were in good shape given that they just opened.

Was there not a tee time rule put in place? I see Lynx Ridge is doing 9 minute tee times.

There was not a tee time rule put in place.

These are the guidelines

Silver Springs open today - parking lot fairly crowded.

Social distancing on the course would not seem to be a problem, but there are many people gathered around the entrance and parking lot.
