Speaking of voice overs, I watched “Paul”, and I have to say that Seth Roger was such an odd choice for the voice of Paul. Just didn’t really seem right at all.

Good think they cast Seth Rogen instead.
I kid! I kid!
Honestly though, I didnt have a problem with Rogen there. Lackadaisical stoner? Seems like right in his wheelhouse.

I get that was what they were going for, but there just seemed to be a disconnect between the voice and the look of the character. Seth’s voice is too deep. It’s like when sometimes you meet somebody and first hear them talk, and it isn’t how you were expecting.
Okay, on your recommendation I gave Final Space a whirl and it hooked me instantly.
I liked Disenchantment eventually, I found that it grew better as it went on, but Final Space just started at 100%.
You're right though, initially it looks dumb so I scrolled by it.
I can't even say why it works so well. It really is silly, the main character is like someone playing a parody of a parody of himself. Stuff in the show is super contrived and trope-y.
I partly think it's just because they play super sci-fi-y music all over the place
But it had enough every single episode to make me want to know what was going on and what was going to happen next.
I didn't really fully engage with Disenchanted until the last 2-3 episodes, but as you say this one had me right from the start. Seven Universe is another one that had me right at the start. Futurama had such amazing characters. Which is why I was even a bit more disappointed in Disenchanted (though I'm hopeful for the next season given the end).

But certainty is an absurd one.
Count me in as another person hooked into Final Space. Still have 3 episodes to go. It's got a whole "loneliness of space" vibe going even though we know it's a pretty populated galaxy with lots of alien species. Music definitely helps with that feel too.
If anyone likes really quirky, weirdly funny, British TV series’ I just came across one called The Dectectorists. Unfortunately it’s being taken down October 1st but the episodes are short and only two seasons. Definitely have had some laughs watching it. If you are a fan of odd British humour give it a try.

Norm's new show is his typical comedic long form interviews that get great responses out of the guests. My only complaint is the guest list was a little weak for only 10 episodes. Especially considering Spade and Letterman are technically repeats of his video podcast that got him the Netflix gig.
There's something so great about a comedian coming out with a talk show and not jumping headfirst into political commentary unlike literally every other comedian on the planet. Such a bore.
Is everybody else’s Netflix filled primarily with Korean and East Indian shows? It seems like there is a really high proportion of this content when I am browsing.

Norm talks about just that in this CTV interview. He thinks Trump has been a boon to bad comedians. And he's right.
