Wow. What could have been a loss turned into a blowout in final.

I think Mattea has reached her GAF peak. She wagers, she risks but she is at the point where she feels she has accomplished what she set out to do and everything else is gravy.
And thats not an indictment of her.
I have always felt that people should go for broke on gameshows. You're playing with house money, so go for it!

I never watch Jeopardy, but I've heard about Mattea's run, so decided to check it out last night. I was starting to think I was going to be bad luck... Glad it turned out the way it did!

It still bugs me that when she was the one only left for Final Jeopardy that she didn't make a massive wager.

It has to just be confidence in the category.
She could wager a bit, lose and still have some cash and move along to the next day or she could wager it all, lose and move to the next day with $1 or something.

I can't believe Mattea won again, this felt like the end with how much she struggled tonight.
I really hope she adjusts her strategy in the TOC. Once again, she should've been hunting for that final daily double instead of going back to the top of the board.
23 years old and has already finished top 5 all-time in regular season wins and money won, wow. Out of all the superchamp runs this season, this is definitely my favorite one with the number of close games.

How does someone qualify for Jeopardy? Once eliminated can you come back?
I know a professional musician who is in serious training for a run at this.

Honestly, I'm more angry that I missed such an obvious Final Jeopardy.
I instantly knew the city, but my mind went:
Turner Field isn't two people and Ted wasn't mayor.
Neither Mercedes nor Benz were mayor of Atlanta
The Aquarium I don't think is named after anyone... is the zoo? I don't think.
Crap, is there a big park downtown I'm not aware of?
Truist is out in Cobb County can't be something around that
... and that's time.
As a massive AvGeek, I'm really really really angry with myself. My mind went downtown and stated there.

The clue was: “These two mayors gave their names to a facility built on the site of an old racetrack owned by Coca-Cola magnate Asa Candler.”
The correct answer was William Hartsfield and Maynard Jackson.
https://globalnews.ca/news/8815343/m...jeopardy-loss/
That is a very difficult clue.

That was one where as soon as I saw the clue I instantly thought:
"Yup. I got nothing."

To me the tough thing is the category was "USA". No clue how you effectively wager when the clue could almost be anything at all.

Perhaps, but i feel the logic of the clue is:
Coca-Cola means Atlanta.
What famous landmark/building in Atlanta is named after two people?
Jackson-Hartfield is the busiest airport in the world.
Even if you didn't know the answer, it was possible to work out.
