Medvedev! Can always be counted on to save tennis as he did in the 2021 US Open final.

Sinner beat Vasek in the Sofia final a couple of years ago denying Pops his first ATP title (still looking for that elusive first crown which let's be honest is not going to happen). That's all I got though, hard not to root for Jannik.

Seeing Sinners game take off when he got Darren Cahill to be his coach I think it's pretty clear to me that Felix needs a new coach, I don't think Uncle Toni is working. I would love Felix to see if maybe Roddick or Agassi would want to coach him, I think Felix was a more talented prospect than Sinner and he can't waste another year.

I don't think Uncle Toni is working that much with Felix any longer. His main coach remains Frederic Fontang and he seems quite reluctant to move on from him. I agree with you that a new voice/philosophy is needed, there's not enough variety in FAA's game, it seems that Plan 'A' is hit hard and when that doesn't work, Plan 'B' is hit harder.
The fact that he doesn't have a kick serve or is not willing to develop one is really surprising for a guy who relies heavily on his serve. His rally tolerance will likely never be on the same level as Sinner, thus I think he just needs to focus on his weapons that help him win points. One thing I would like to see is incorporating more angles into his game which means taking some pace off the ball. That should cut down on the unforced errors and also move his opponent around and force them to hit the ball from all areas of the court. Also, how about some more height and spin on his shots, I think he falls into a pattern where he keeps delivering the same ball with the same pace and same height and his opponent gets pretty comfortable.
The brief indoor season is coming up shortly, let's see if Felix can get on a roll. Felix is slated to play Rotterdam in the 2nd week of February, maybe he can channel some of his 2022 form.

Aryna is a buzzsaw. Many more slams for her coming up.

I see the narrative that Zheng Qinwen had a cakewalk draw to the final and she shouldn't have even been there blah blah blah and it grinds my gears. You have no control over the draw as well as other people's matches. She was in the same section of the draw as Iga, but Iga fell to up-and-coming Linda Noskova. Zheng will be #7 in the world when the rankings come out on Monday, pretty darn good for a 21 year old.

As far as the men's final is concerned (yeah I know I said no more predictions lol), but I have to go with Sinner. He's spent almost 6 less hours on court than Meddy and you have to think that has to get to the Russian's legs at some point. The counter to that is that this is Jannik's first final and will the nerves get to him and affect his game. I think he's ready for the big stage though, I seen the Italian kid winning it in four.

Sinner has not been broken all tourney - Meddy just broke him in Jannik's 2nd service game.

Meddy takes the first set 6-3 breaking Sinner twice. Daniil is serving great and has really moved up his court position returning Jannik's serve which is bothering Jannik thus far as his 1st serve percentage is very low.

Meddy breaks again early in set 2 and Sinner is in deep trouble.

Sinner breaks Meddy serving for set 2, but is still down a break serving at 2-5
Edit: Jannik has started to play better and had a break point to get back on serve, but Meddy holds to take a two sets to love lead.
