no idea. In France, they apparently think of him as the next Thierry Henry or something, but in any case, it's waaaaaaaay too much money. For that kind of transfer fee, you have to get a proven star player, period.
But it gets even worse for us United fans, as there apparently is an agreement with Real Madrid for De Gea now in place and Adnan Januzaj is loaned to Dortmund ... WITH an option to buy, as it seems. I'm going to puke.

Well, I actually got a chance to watch some of that Swansea match yesterday and if you guys are going forward with Sergio Ramos in net...good luck, that guy handles the ball like a hand-grenade.
I also got to watch Dortmund for a bit and they are back to being who they were supposed to be...night and day from last season despite most of the roster being the same. I wonder what happened there...

Romero, not Ramos
It seems that United will get Keylor Navas as part of the De Gea deal, so that's that. Navas is quite good and Romero should be stapled to the bench once that deal goes through.
Also no buying option for Dortmund regarding the Januzaj loan. Phew.
Love Januzaj going to Dortmund, this season has been the polar opposite to last year so far for them, but why couldn't they have done the transfer a month ago before Januzaj went out and knocked around Aston Villa?

Romero, Ramos, potato, potato, etc.
Sorry about that.

United only has to register the transfer at the FIFA transfer system, Madrid has to register the player at the Spanish FA. Seems like United has done their part, but hey, the Spanish media blame machine is already working hard to blame United.
Greg Stobart @gstobart
So had it confirmed #MUFC did their bit & registered De Gea transfer on FIFA TMS. Real Madrid failed to register in time with LFP
Woodward is far from being perfect, but let's not get carried away here. And again, I'd be shocked if the deal fell apart. It's Real Madrid buying the best Spanish goalkeeper who should play in their national team for the next 10 years or so ... does really anybody believe that the deal will be blocked? In Spain, of all places?
Also have to laugh at suggestions that United have blown the transfer on purpose ... as if a company would purposely nix a deal that'll bring them around €25m net. Yeah, sure.

No they're not. Both Marca and AS are saying it was La Liga that didn't receive the paperwork. They're not blaming anyone but hinting that it was Real's issue.
I heard the deal has allegedly fallen apart because while Manchester United got the paperwork to La Liga in time, it wasn't in a format that could be opened.
Thats happened to all of us!
