Hah, perfect. Did they have to play 3v5 or was that a misconduct?

That dude ain't no 86 on EV D. Typo or not, we all know that doesn't align with what you'll see from him on the ice.

An oiler fan would cling on to that though. Deluding themselves into believing anything that serves their bias is a talent of theirs, from the team to the media to the fans.
What you didn't hear??? He's going to get 100 assists, we should stop the presses.

What a disappointment. Got into my truck to plow the lane and they had on some stupid Oiler reporter going on about McDavid's greatness (and how Henrique is going to put them over the top for POs).

They haven’t won 16 games vs playoff teams all season, but somehow that is always about to change.

Great fluff on 960 this morning with the Oilers NHL.com apologist… I mean writer.

Apparently it was the worst period of the year last night, except for all the other periods in October/November.

Basically their hopes hinge on Skinner turning into Dominik Hasek or they light him on fire & toss him under the bus.

Why are so many writers so far up their ####es?

7-10-3 versus top 10 teams
.500 against lower seeds/wildcard teams

Tell me again why this is all snapping into place where they'll be the best of 16 they've struggled against (and have in playoff match ups the last few years)?

Betting against them would be the easiest money you could ever collect.

I think it's their age. They are mostly in their mid 50's and up, Gretzky was an Oiler from 79-88.

It’s for sure of concern for but there’s a lot of early losses in there too. 3 to Vancouver, 1 to Winnipeg, 1 to Dallas and 1 to the ranger just in the first month of the season, Still I don’t see them in the top 5, probably closer to the 7-10 range at best. Hard to see them as fsvourites or fen close.

In reality, hype them until the end of time. Not that they ever would, but being that cocky is mutually exclusive with the underdog workman like mentality required to win 4 series.

We really need to usher in the next generation of writers who can evaluate things not through the gretzky-oilers nostalgia lens.

That will never be repeated in Edmonton and the current team is deeply flawed, not nearly as deep and full of #####s.

(I guess they share the last part in common)

Just wait. They have another "big" game tomorrow playing the avalanche at home who are coming in from a back to back. I can hear the headlines already if they win that it was such an amazing bounce back and response.

I've noticed the Fan960 seems to employ some people who just seem to be a little too fanboyish when talking about the NoGoods.

The old Oilers weren't exactly known for their depth and were full of #####s as well.
