It was game 3 in the 08 playoffs. Flames go down 3-0 against the Sharks 3 minutes into the game, and it's looking pretty grim until the Cory Sarich train runs over Patrick Marleau and turns the game around. Flames end up winning the game 4-3 with Cujo finishing the game with a shutout and I end up with a Cory Sarich jersey.

That's a good jersey no matter what. Sarich was a great warrior for us and played here for 6 seasons.

Derek Morris #53 black horsehead jersey.
Saint John Flames #47 Giguere jersey (I was debating between Giguere and St. Louis. Should have got St. Louis)
White Rob Niedermayer jersey on opening night 01-02 season.
Red Steve Reinprecht which I got in the season ticket holder pre-order when the jersey was launched (so the lettering is black).
The other Flames jerseys I have are great. Housley pedestal, Iginla pro, pedestal with "2000" patch and Lanny McDonald.

Don't know how you sleep at night with Mr. October-March Reichel and Lazy Morris hanging in your closet. Putrid.
Really wish I would've gotten a name/number when I got my "blindly ordered" STH authentic at the discount in 2003/4, to get the beautiful black lettering. I wonder if Great Plains would still have any of those letters left?
Have a pretty valuable game worn one from the 2004 playoffs, and thanks to our resident CP jersey hoarder, a Giordano Dynamo Moscow. but the oddest of the lot is still the authentic 2000 All Star Housley jersey that I picked up at the Fan Attic in preseason 2001 for $70.
Had a choice of it or the Val Bure (and that year were the ones with the Euro vs NA, and Euro red jersey had the names under the number). Housely's claim to fame after that point in his career was getting in trouble with Fleury and his handler at a strip bar when playing for Chicago. Bure's was continuing to be married to DJ Tanner, and having family dinner with his nutcase brother in law Mike Seaver.

Bought my son a Monahan jersey from China. The pics made it look pretty close, it just doesn't have Rebook cresting. We'll see. For $35 I'm fine if it isn't perfect, nor if he plays hockey in it. He'll still love it, but it isn't authentic. My wife made me do it. He is only 9 and really wanted a Monahan jersey and needs Adult small so for $200+ dollars for a jersey that will only fit him one or two years... that is the only reason I'm okay with the knock off. But I feel dirty.

I have a Ducks jersey hidden in the bottom of my closet that I bought at a playoff game (Ducks/Stars) 2 years ago in Anaheim. I used to like them before Kesler got traded there and now I want to burn it or shoot it with guns or sink it to the bottom of a lake.
I regret it immensely and I feel really dirty. I hate it.

A buddy of mine duct tapes "X" on opposing teams jersey logos and wears them during the week. It was his juju thing

What jersey is it? Like a 2012 home? Because that jersey was used all the way since about 2007; you could stick Niedermayer or Selanne on there and you'd be fine. Then it's a player jersey. Who doesn't like Niedermayer and Selanne?
Seriously if you don't want it give it to me; I'll get it crested.

I disagree with your assessment of Morris. He had great ears. Perfect curvature, and earlobes that were neither too big or too small.

After seeing this a couple different times in the last week or so, I would like to nominate those who not only go the classy "#69" route (especially when they look well into their 50's), but then also get the captain's C on the front. Good Lord, jersey foul to the extreme.

You can go with the more subtle 96. Or the selfish 68.
