I'd rather they speed up the trains so the suicidal idiot gets pulverized and the train can just keep going.

At what cost? Should we spend 10's (or hundreds) of millions on a project like that, or spend that on getting 4 car service sooner.
I think that J walking and getting hit by a train should be punishable by community service equal to the cumulative delays caused. If she caused 10,000 people a 1 hour delay- she gets 10,000 hours of community service as a sentence.

When an accident happens at 39th street station, why is the 202 train delayed?
If anything it should be faster because there are no 201 trains going!

The trains already running don't just dissappear because there was an accident elsewhere. All those trains heading back from Crowfoot through the core get back logged and delayed, and only one route through downtown, 7th Ave.

sure they can be stuck on the eastbound line but the westbound line should be clear!
I know what you mean, I'm just whining.

because you need trains from the westbound line to make it all the way to the west to start heading eastbound
Trains don't magically appear at one end

Very China-esque. Maybe we can send the bill for the cleanup and the therapy of the conductor to the family of the deceased, too.

When I lived in Calgary there were many places for the mentally disabled to work in that 39 Ave. S area. Just a guess but maybe the girl was one of these but carry one with your hate.

LOL, another one.
http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/ca...248/story.html
Downtown CTrain service resumed Saturday night after a vehicle was t-boned by a rail car at the 1st Street. S.W. crossing.
Two women who were in the Chevy Cavalier weren’t injured by the collision, which occurred just before 7 p.m., but they were transported to hospital as a precautionary measure.

Another one this morning at Whitehorn - I know they don't usually report suicides, but Calgary Transit's twitter feed said someone jumped in front of the train. Poor driver....

Probably won't be the first one at Westbrook. I go through there frequently, I hope I never have to see that.
