Tkachuk did break his hand fighting in 2019 and ended up with a concussion in 2020.
To call him invisible for those 2 playoffs is revisionist history, typical CP crap...

Iggy - fine. Neimenen has an outsized rep though. He played well for one PO series in his whole career, and not so much at any other time. Sutter was smart to let him go.
Definitely you're entitled to an opinion.

Florida wins the cup. When they are rolling they look unbeatable. Only Rangers may be able to stop them or Dallas with their goaltending.

The broken hand was the stupidest ####ing thing he could have done. It was a complete waste, with an obvious potential result of an injured hand…. And that’s what happened. He wanted to stir #### up more than produce, and it ####ed us.

Probably our best offensive player, who isn’t a fighter AT ALL, and he blew it because he’s a head case.

This take is a pile of crap.

What if Iginla had broken his hand against Ohlund or Hatcher?

Tkachuk's concussion also came trying to stir crap up and he flung his head back into Zadorov.

I don’t understand. Iginla fought guys all the time. Tkachuk fought a guy for completely no reason. Invented retribution who nobody but Tkachuk thought was necessary.

He’s been pretty much perfect this playoff so far. I have no issues with him taking the Pastranak fight. I didn’t love the ground shots, but he’s grown a lot and is picking his spots better.

Back angle video looks pretty clear to me the Bennett punched Macchaund square in the jaw on that collision. Done now I guess as are the bruins.

Florida in New York can take turns taking dirty shots at each other. I might actually enjoy watching that.

That’s pretty much ridiculous.

His right arm doesn’t move much in a different trajectory than his body. He doesn’t draw it back and throw a punch. You really think he absorbed the full hit that Marchand was delivering with his left shoulder and simultaneously threw a deliberate punch with his right hand?

The slower motion you watch things in, the more deliberate you can convince yourself things are, when really things happen in a split second and are pretty consistent with physics of the impact

That play is 1000% intentional by Bennett. He knew exactly who’s coming, and he knew exactly what he was doing.

He saw a chance get a damaging lick on the Bruins captain and he took it - welcome to the second round.

Nobody should have a problem with it who’s not a fan of the Bruins.

####, Marchand is probably pissed he didn’t think to do it himself.

^ That’s ridiculous. Unless you throw a punch without extending your arm

He had literally just released the puck and had time to get a shoulder up and brace

Like I say, watching it in slow motion really spurs on the imagination

It could be that.

It could also be Bennett getting his arms up to defend against the impact, and not caring about the impact on the other player (something more guys should do, frankly) and making sure he got an extra shot in.

I lean more towards the second camp because Bennett has to have seen Marchand coming well before that, it’s why he goes to release the puck when he does.

And I have no issue with it.

It looks as though Bennett was bracing himself for impact and just so happens to maybe clip him with his fist/butt end of the stick.

If I was getting hit from that angle, I'm sure my right side would be going forward as well. Just sucks Marchand got the worst of it. Marchand is a smaller guy compared to Bennett.

Slow motion replay doesn't do it justice through, lol

Plus Bennett would not have given Marchand any benefit of a doubt on that play where Marchand is trying to run him over. This is the biggest rat in the league trying to hit you, he could have thrown an elbow at Bennett at the last moment etc. Such a weird play for people to get upset about.

Ok. Don't believe I inferred anything about Boston's play in that post...
