If they start to sell this offseason, their gravy train ends a year early. Not going to happen, and they sure as heck aren't going to be adding salary which is actually a good decisions as they are too old and they do not have the team to compete anymore with the Red Sox and Yankees who have returned to form.

Well they will sign some cast-off bullpens guys, and a 8 mil ish LF/RF.
Maybe some reclaim SP as well!

Are you blaming Rogers for not spending money this off season, while simultaneously praising their decision not to?

Man. Tough top 3. Stroman barely nicks a batter and Gibbons stupidly challenges it. Then error by Refsnyder on a throw, amazing grab by Donaldson nullified by Refsnyder coming off the bag at second, and a single. Now it is 2-1 Pirates.

Now McCutchen hurts his knee taking his lead off from 2nd and is out of the game. Weird inning. Jays down 4-1

Sometimes it would be nice to see a Jays player just trying to get some runs in instead of hitting a home run at every at bat.

@Wilnerness590: Gibby on Sanchez: His finger's growing out pretty good. He'll start ramping up soon. May come out of the bullpen. #Bluejays #Jays
@Wilnerness590: Gibby: Might not be enough time left to get Sanchez rehab starts, but determined for him to finish the season pitching. #Bluejays #Jays

Getting what the Jays got for Liriano feels pretty remarkable. He's been pitching like feces for Houston. Would be surprised if he made the playoff roster.

Another win for the Jays. Giving us false hope once again. However I'm sure when they have a chance to pass a team in the AL east or get to .500 they will mess it up.

I've kept watching throughout. I find even the low-scoring games like this one entertaining enough, and there's just something about this team that I can't give up on.
It's been a rough season but you could never really accuse them of a lack of effort.

Marco Estrada was claimed on trade waivers by an unknown team, source says. (These waivers are revocable.) @MLB @MLBNetwork
I assume the Jays will revoke the claim to try to make a trade instead? Does this mess up his start vs the Rays tonight?

Huh, Estrada has been so up and down this season. It'll be interesting to see what he's worth.
Side note: that's one of the Jays' real starters. Does this essentially guarantee they're throwing in the towel?

Jays can either negotiate a trade with that unknown team or pull him from waivers. It could be someone just blocking a potential trade or legitimate interest.
