Oilers still play Kings and Vegas. Could potentially fall into a wild card.

A first round matchup for them vs the Avs would be so amazing. Lose to the eventual Stanley Cup champ 3 years in a row, banner szn

The Kings are and have been an awful opponent for the Oilers. They can't get it done.

Yeah the Oilers have taken them out in the last two seasons running. Maybe this year could be different but I'm not sure how much I trust the tandem of Rittich and Talbot in a playoff series against anyone. I get the feeling both of those goaltenders will see action and that's probably not a good thing for the Kings.

Now Chris Johnston, and people are making video etc trying to make this is the greatest 50 goal season ever.
Are these people that dumb, he is the beneficiary of a guy playing to get 100 plus assists someone is going to tap them in.
He has worked all his life to get here.

Video is not accurate.
It omits him subtly (sometimes) shoving the goalie or pushing out the defensman’s skates, giving him the open net/open shot.
And that is when he’s not running interference by clipping the other teams players with his skate while skating by, opening up the ice for McDavid.

There is actual talk on the Oilers board about the Kings losing on purpose tonight to avoid the Oilers in the playoffs. Just mind blowing stuff from their fans.

To be fair I had that thought too when I saw they'd put up 11 shots two periods in.

Hello all. Just wondering if people could post all the terrible things the Oilers have done over the past 25 years. There have been so many blunders like the Souray fiasco but I can't recall all of them any more. I have a colleague that genuinely feels they are the greatest organization in the NHL and one of the greatest franchises in pro sports. I need a refresher on all the greasy things to combat his zeal.

Ask him why they haven't won a Cup despite having 4 1st overall picks in 6 years.

I wouldn't bother, your friend has been fully indoctrinated. Best to move on.

Only artificial intelligence would be up to that task. Even then, the computing resources would require an entire year's worth of all the power the North American electrical grid could produce. E = NG to the nth power.
