Made a Witch Doctor last night, in an attempt to have all charagters at 60 before expansion.

Really annoying having those dogs running around, more than once in my sleep deprived state was I attacking them for 10-20 seconds before I realized that they were not dying.

Yup, WD = Christmas at the mall.

What's the deal with those dogs, is there a max #? I tried a few things that are supposed to spawn more, but since mine never seem to die and I've never seen one spawn, I'm just assuming that it's 3 max and that those skills are best to use in conjunction with the exploding dog thing?

I actually finished the "all chars to 60" last night with the completion of my second hardcore char.

In my rush to get it done before I went to bed, I damn near died with about a tenth of a level to go! THAT would have sucked...

And yes Photon, 3 is the usual max. There may be an item that allows more, but I haven't seen it.

Yeah I wasn't going to but figured might as well get each class to 60 too, WD is almost there.

I try to prefer +exp items and have a +exp gem in my hat and it seems to go quite fast. Especially with a few weapons with great damage and low level requirements.

There's a passive ability that bumps it to 4. But 4 really isn't that much more helpful than 3. Better to have fetishes running around. I like having my golem up to tank elites too.

Dogs were nice because you don't have to actively worry about re-casting them, but I was playing around with the guy that turns mobs into chickens a bit. More active, but seems cool. Even just mass confusion can make the tough packs a lot more manageable, turning them into chickens even moreso.

might be the difficulty level. try the healing shaman. also watch your positioning since you don't need to be that close for bats to hit.

I don't know if anyone has tried this with a new character as opposed to paragon xp, but I hit 23 with my Witch Doctor to get Cain's armor, and then a socketed weapon, and I went straight to Torment 1 COTA. Each run I got at least a level.

Sometimes I would run into an elite that would destroy me, so I would just leave the game but for the most part it was good solid exp.

The 50% EXP boost has been increased to 100% for this weekend. Get your paragon farming in!

Get the COTA runs in too, since pending hotfix notes:

All class set items will now only drop in Torment I or above.
Reduced the amount of experience granted by monsters with lower than average health pools.

The first one is kind of annoying too, just makes it harder to gear up so one can do Torment rather than rewarding those that play torment, and those farming gear will just have to go with Torment rather than normal.

Sweet, just got my 4 piece IK set. Now my Ancients stay forever. Anyone have any ideas of interesting builds I can do now? I was thinking of putting ancients with the rune that they generate fury for me and then do a boulder toss barb.

Got a few plan drops today, haven't really ever got many drops before so not much experience with plans. In the past I found that spending resources in crafting a set for level 30 or something like that seemed a waste, but now I got a level 60 plan.

Maybe it's just my inexperience with crafted weapons, but these seem pretty good? Or is that just typical?

Sounds like A Royal Audience is better then COTA now so start running those.

Ugh, not sure if I can get a Barbarian to 60, it seems soooo sloooow.

Ya barbarian was by far my least favorite class to play. Just seems so underpowered compared to any other class

You really need to build Barb properly for him to be effective.

Still my favorite class to play and has been since Diablo 1.

I think they're just nerfing the class to get players to expand their gameplay a bit.

So just doing the infernal machine to finish up at least 2 rings, is it better for me to find a full group and do the bosses in Torm 5 or is it ok do be doing it in torm 2-3 solo?
