According to the 787 blog, Air Canada's first 787 (fin 801) has rolled out and is being prepared for flight, assembly has begun on fin 802, and parts are arriving for fin 803. All GEnx powered, of course.
I wonder what route it will fly...I would honestly fly it, just for the experience.

Initially between Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal for crew familiarisation. Toronto-London and Toronto-Zurich start in May, then Toronto-Tel Aviv and Toronto-Tokyo start in July.

My roommate flew a BA 788 LHR-YYZ and hasn't stopped talking about it for two weeks. Said it was quiet, smooth and felt much bigger on the inside than any other plane.
Such an s.o.b.

In our case, it'll only be the bigger windows making the cabin feel spacious... the A330 seats are half an inch wider, and of course, 8 seats across instead of 9 so there's no "double excuse me" if you have a window seat.
The inevitable raving about AC's birds will simply be from a placebo standpoint in terms of passenger comfort, but you can bet the 787-8 (and even more the 787-9 when it gets here) will murder the 330 on trip costs for AC.
Mickey's been away in Ontario for maintenance for the last week so I haven't seen her here at the airport, but this is another nice shot in Toronto from January 30.
Spoiler!
