I really want to see Gaudreau moved to RW this season. I think the right side in general just seems more suited for smaller, faster, skilled players.
I feel the opposite. Players like Bennett or Ferland can play on their offwing better because in the zone they're in position to protect the puck and drive the net, where as you want Gaudreau on his same side wing so he's on his forehand entering the zone looking for the pass
When Gaudreau plays with talented skill players he is beyond dominant. The only player that has some skill Johnny plays with on the Flames is Monahan and he is more of a pure goal scorer than a skill player. The Flames desperately need another high end skill player to play with Gaudreau.
Be careful, anything negative on monahan is strictly forbiden here and you are gonna be labeled as troll or stupid.

That was the case when some teams played a defensive system called the "left wing lock" where usually the larger winger played LW and dropped back inline with the D and trap. Ironically coaches started beating it by using big fast skilled players on LW to pick on the opposing RW'er. Players like Kovalchuk, Marleau and Heatley feasted on teams trying this trap system.
Anyway, On big ice it might be ok in a tourney like the WC but Gaudreau has played LW since he was about 8, to ask him to switch now would likely give him and the fans another frustrating season.
Treliving needs to find a bonafide skilled right shooting RW to play with, a big Simmonds, Stone or Rakell type winger would fit the bill, price would probably be outrageous/impossible for those guys but there's others that might do the trick, Even a guy like Kevin Hayes might be available for a decent price.

Tyson Barrie's world hockey championship-ending injury was suffered in his hotel room.
TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports Barrie, who was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament with a lower-body injury on Wednesday, sustained a leg laceration while wrestling with a teammate inside the team's hotel.
