I am thinking Apu or Sideshow Bob.

Maybe Apu gets gunned down in a Kwik-E-Mart robbery. You can't expect to do that job for 25 years and not die.

I would think that Krabappel would be a strong character to kill off. I don't much like the idea of Apu because a story surrounding his wife and what dozen kids would be somthing that they can't do lightly.

I would like to see Comic Book Guy have the best death scene ever.

Krusty you can't kill, he's pretty much an icon, and a big part of the shows merchandising.

Dan Castellaneta voices Hans Moleman, and he's been killed off dozens of times already. What's once more?

Azaria and Castellaneta have both won Emmys for "Various Characters". The Emmy wins for a specific named character were: Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Rabbi Krustofski, Mrs Krabappel, Apu, Sideshow Bob, and Princess Penelope.

Assuming it's one of the specific characters that won an Emmy, it won't be one of the main Simpsons, and Princess Penelope was a one episode character. That leaves: Krusty's dad, Mrs Krabappel, Apu, and Sideshow Bob.
I see Mrs. Krabapple. Its an opportunity for those scheming catholics to get another one in against those feisty protestants. Stupid Sexy Flanders can take another one on the chin.

Hopefully its also done with a T-Shirt cannon. Working that in would be brilliant.

I could see it being Barney for some reason. He has been used less, and less every season, and has been replaced by Lenny, Carl, and Moe as Homer's best friends. Always liked Barney, but he hasn't been the same since his alcoholism was cured (and yes I realize he fell back into it eventually).

RIP Edna Krabappel.

This isn't the character the writers were planning on writing out, but Marcia Wallace passed away last night.

Reporters attending the summer TV network press tour Monday were shown a demonstration of what's being described as every "The Simpsons" fan's ultimate dream. The "Simpsons World" app, which launches in the United States only on Aug. 17, offers fans full digital access to all 552 episodes.

Because "Simpsons World" is essentially FXX's exclusive non-linear toy, it is off limits to Canadian linear rights holders. The only territory around the world with access to the non-linear "Simpsons World" environment is the United States. Even in the U.S., viewers will have to be FXX subscribers to tap into "Simpsons World."

Greatest line every Simpsons character ever delivered:

http://www.thewire.com/entertainment...ivered/378879/

Definitely room for debate on a few (particularly Hans Moleman, but also Jasper among others)

I disagree with a few in this article, but perhaps none more strongly then Ralph's.

How did "My cat's breath smells like cat food" not win this one? That's probably up there with one of the best lines in any Simpsons episode by any character.

Yah most of their choices are pretty lousy. Maybe a few of them are acceptable (Bart and Burns'), but I can think of many better lines for most of the characters.

A series like the Simpsons nailing down the best line per character would be a difficult task.

I don't even know where to start for the Simpson family. Although Grandpa's has to be the onion rant "so I went to Shelbyville, the important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time, not those fancy white onions because of the war, a yellow onion …"

Hansmoleman "I was saying boo-urns!"

Helen Lovejoy "Won't somebody think of the children?!"

Ralph Wiggim "Hi Super Nintendo Chalmers!"

Cecil's reply to Bart asking 'Guess who?' "Merris?!"

Also I saw a couch gag the other day that made me laugh out loud. The Simpsons run through the garage, and ino various iconic TV show sets. The last one is Cheers and as the 2-3 second time on that set is ending, Sideshow Bob walks in. Caught me off guard, fantastic!

For Ralph, I've always felt strongly towards "I bent my Wookie!". "Tastes like...burning" is up there too.

And to this day, when someone says they're making a dinner of some dish I've never heard of, I'll respond with "...chicken necks?"

Reverend Lovejoy's should've been "this never would've happened if the wedding had been in the church WITH GOD, instead of the cheap showiness of nature"
