Has this been mentioned? So glad Conroy didn't go for this deal. 8M cap hit for Johansen and has 1 more year! Guy has 23 points! Very sneaky try by Sakic. Would've set them up nicely for their run this year and freed themselves up from that 8M cap hit next season.

And then they got a new coach and the goalie came back in vezina quality form. And they traded Toffoli for an even better scorer.
And they still missed the playoffs.

Hmm, I may have taken the deal. Next year, hope Johansen bounces back and the Flames could have had their own Monahan situation.
Veteran centres seem to get a lot at the deadline.

Johansson with no retention, 2 1st’s and another pick is what I would have wanted for Tanev.

RyJo has nuclear heat on him from Colorado.

Johansen was basically blackballed out of the room by the Avs’ players. He’s not what Calgary is trying to do.

We need to be so careful right now
Two things we need to avoid is teaching our young players how to lose and introducing morons into the room

Basically Tanev for free and a 1st for taking on that cap hit.

Philly instantly put him on waivers and sent him to ahl. Think it’s more than his play on ice that’s the issue.

It's not Tre. it's not Sutter. It's not Markstrom. It's not a mix of problems. There is one player that has so substantially underperformed expectations that it's pushed the team into a rebuild. From division champs to full rebuild in 120 games.
Absolutely wild imo

Yeah it's not really talked about but Huberdeau is almost single handedly the reason why this team is heading into a rebuild.
If he was what he's paid to be, or even remotely close, there's a good chance we're a playoff team the last two years.

Yeah Huby as been a disaster of epic proportions.
My original.comment was due to someone claiming Tre had sewered the team on purpose which is not the case IMO

Gaudreau and Tkachuk not wanting to be here triggered the rebuild that may have been inevitable either way. Full stop.
Huberdeau was never a fit for this system and was a total panic overpay. He should never have been re-signed sight unseen, but panic completely took over after those two pulled out.

Treliving was the GM. The main guy that built this team.
They are bottom feeder , needing a major rebuild
But it’s not his fault. Nice

but but but he works so hard...... so tired of that excuse, him working hard on getting replacement level d man Hamonic cost us Dobson, the same guy who is over 60 points this year. and then he structures the 1st round pick deal with Montreal in such a way so it would appear he is the smartest guy in the room. good riddance.
