I'm assuming you got an email from Blizzard, correct? Or did you just randomly check your battle.net account?

Just when I thought I didn't have enough on my plate with BF3, MW3, Skyrim and Halo Anniversary Edition I open my junk mail today and there is a Diablo 3 Invite. Can't download fast enough.

I got mine yesterday as well, so many games, so little time, this is a good problem to have.

so i tried the Monk class last night and got him to level 9, and i think this is what i'm going to start with when retail hits. damn it's a fun class to use, certainly puts more punch in the healer role than most RPG games do. in fact comparing him to my lvl 10 Wizard it might even be a little overpowered, but if they don't change anything until retail then i'll take advantage of that until they patch things

I played through as a Witch Doctor, they seem like they will be a good class at higher levels but pretty boring early on. Tonight I try mage.

Did my first play through last night as a Monk, really likes the character, agree with HC above. Not sure how I feel about how idiot proof they made the character and skill systems. D2 was a bit of a pain if you didn't prepare for the type of character you wanted and it was easy to waste skill points.
Also not sure how I feel about the health pots that drop randomly, seems to easy. But I guess it kind of makes up for the cooldown on the health potions now. I like the change to the town portal and identify system, in D2 after the first 30 minutes of play it was just a pain to remember to fill your tomes.I'm curious to see how the crafting system will work, could be a really cool addition.
Overall it just as enjoyable I remember D2 being, although it was quite easy, I'm hoping that's just a beta thing or there will be progressive difficulty levels and not just normal and hardcore.

You're only playing the first part of Act 1 - Normal Difficulty. After that there's still Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno difficulties. I'm sure the game will become much more difficult.

I have a dated dell inspiron 6400 from 2006 so I wont be able to play thing game...
...unless I get this 1000$ dell laptop with a gt 550m...I think that should be more than enough...I really want to be able to play this game...because once my chartered accounting program starts in a couple of years....I will have zero time!

So pay for WoW for 1 year and get Diablo 3 free.
Me guessing wow is losing a lot of subscribers this last year.

They've been bleeding since the new expac, Cataclysm, came out yeah. They lost me too and I haven't looked back lol. But D3 will wrangle me back into their clutches.

Latest Beta patch has lowered the damage % on quite a few Monk skills.
Patch also deleted all my characters.

Witch Doctor is still OP. I'm loving it, hit level 2 in Smithing got a yellow belt pattern to drop. This game is all kinds of fun.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but I was looking around on Amazon and Diablo popped up and is showing a release date of March 31. The Diablo 3 FAQ still has no set release date..

They typically just pick a date when they don't know the actual one. I was told the same thing when I pre-ordered by collectors edition.
