No lies there. All facts. Pointed out by the Scottish courts that they are racist, fined by UEFA for sectarianism.
I had a great time in a great atmosphere with great people and as pointed out take great comfort in knowing that the vast majority of Scottish fans disown the likes of you, your views and your like.
You know .... I don't even consider you Scottish. Seriously.

They are saying that it wasn't the NFL games but rather too much top soil being added during the summer maintenance programme.

I tuned in late and thought they were playing on some postwar stadium on the outskirts of Ljubljana.
I can't believe they let Wembley get that rundown. Here's a crazy idea: if the pitch at Wembley looks like its been transplanted from suburban war-era Kosovo then play the game somewhere else.

I don't think it is as simple as that due to Club Wembley. Basically, club members are guaranteed seats/boxes for Wembley events until 2017 and England matches are core events in the package.

Fair enough, buy maybe theu shouldn't have hamstrung themselves with that or maybe just have an alternative depending on circumstances.
Besides, what was the attendance even? When I checked in the place looked deserted.
Most other national teams play in various venues around the country, having England always playing at Wembley is kind of stupid.

No idea where this belongs or if it even warrants a new thread. Would love to see this gain momentum.
Quote:
The president of the German Football League has warned that Uefa’s 54 member nations could take the ultimate step of quitting Fifa if Michael Garcia’s report into World Cup bidding is not published in full.
Dr Reinhard Rauball laid bare the tensions within Fifa over the split between the ethics committee judge, Hans-Joachim Eckert, and Garcia, the US attorney who heads the investigatory arm and spent 18 months probing the race for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. Garcia has disowned Eckert’s summary of his 430-page report, which effectively cleared Russia and Qatar.
“The result was a breakdown in communication, and it has shaken the foundations of Fifa in a way I’ve never experienced before,” said Rauball.
“As a solution, two things must happen. Not only must the decision of the ethics committee be published, but Mr Garcia’s bill of indictment too, so it becomes clear what the charges were and how they were judged,” he told the German website kicker.de.
“Additionally, the areas that were not evaluated [in the report] and whether that was justified [should be published]. It must be made public. That is the only way Fifa can deal with the complete loss of credibility.”
He said that if the report was not published in full – and Eckert has already said that he will not do that, while Fifa argues it cannot intervene – then Uefa should consider its own position within Fifa. “If this doesn’t happen and the crisis is not resolved in a credible manner, you have to entertain the question of whether you are still in good hands with Fifa,” Rauball added. “One option that would have to bear serious consideration is certainly that Uefa leaves Fifa.”

Most other national teams don't have a national stadium. Those that do, always play there. Wembley is England's national stadium, always has been.
They played around the country when they were rebuilding it. Even as a non-Englishman I found it strange to see them at Villa Park, St James etc. Wembley is their home.

I like Wembley and the idea of having a home for Internationals and Cup Finals but they did spend some stupid money on New Wembley.
If you are going to create a home for football, the ground should give football priority and always be ready for football. If you have to share priority to keep things afloat, should an FA really be in that business? It is looking less and less about the football and more about the pounds.
