I’m cheering for Dallas in 7 for a more favourable matchup for the Oilers.

Pregame panel in an elimination game between two top teams? let’s talk about the Oilers.

After they win or lose, no more support from me. But please break the Vancouver hearts.

Cheer on…. though there likely won’t be an Oilers matchup next round.

Is Dallas really more favorable against the Oilers? Makar and MacKinnon have been pretty darn effective against them in the past.

Cale Makar has 2 goals, 7 assists and a plus-minus of +4 in 4 games against the Oilers in the playoffs in his career.

Nathan MacKinnon has 3 goals, 2 assists and a plus-minus of +6 in 4 games versus the Oilers in the playoffs in his career.

McDavid and Draisaitl are -3 and -4 in 4 playoff games vs Colorado, in which they were swept.

Don't worry Canucks going to put them out of their misery on Saturday and oilers will start their rebuild v4.

Stars have a better goalie, may be?

Georgiev has been pretty good thus far in the playoffs. Oettinger is definitely the better player, but Georgiev is at least dependable (can't say the same for Skinner).

Lol! Neither of these teams is a favourable matchup for the Oilers. Both would completely demolish the Grease in 5 games or less. Dallas and Colorado are elite. Oilers are not.

I want Dallas to win now, since they need time to rest up and heal before the next round.

The Avs aren't the same with Nichuskin out of the lineup.

I would be fine with either team against the oilers. Dallas is great a playing a grinding game and has a better goaltender. They would make the oilers play a type of hockey they really struggle with.

Colorado would play more of a style that the oilers are used to but the Avs are better at it. Colorado can do everything the oilers do - only better. The advantage to having Colorado against the oilers is that it pretty much neutralizes the oiler advantage when the refs start calling a bunch of penalties. If the refs decide to call everything, the Avs can burn the oilers on the powerplay just like the oilers can burn the Avs. It’s what you see for the oilers in any series. For the most part (with a few exceptions), if the refs give out tons of penalties, that gives the oilers the better chance to win games even if the powerplays are even. I think Colorado can feast on the oilers with their powerplay as well.

Of course, my greatest hope is that the Canucks just end the Oilers season tomorrow night.

I noticed previously, and it’s the same tonight, that both teams are focused on winning. It’s intense.

But there are so few cheap shots, no greasy oilers dives, slew feet, spears, etc.

It’s so respectful, like fitness 100 on Netflix.

lol Tanev single handily saving the game for Dallas shift after shift.
That acquisition has paid off in spades for Dallas what a steal.

Tanev with a casual game of 8 blocks once again.

Still hilarious that Treliving wasn't willing to pay the price for Tanev at the deadline.
