Can’t believe they sent home Celebrini and Fantili to let Dubois play in this tournament.
He looks so disinterested out there it’s embarrassing. I’d actually prefer he not put the maple leaf on and represent this country.
It’s so embarrassing it’s comical now, what a waste.

2 assists for Pospisil as Slovakia leads the US 4-2 late in the third today.
EDIT: Just as I post that, Tkachuk scores to make it 4-3.

Slovakia is always such a scrappy team. Like Latvia, but with more talent.
Take them lightly at your peril.

USA tied it late.
Pospisil with the assist on the OT GWG.

Great game by Pospisil. Hungry as always. I watched this match over my home country's (FIN) one, because Pospisil = more entertainment.
In fact he's now leading the WJC's scoring, after he gets that 3rd apple added.

Pospisil needs to at the very least be tried at center moving forward.

I caught some of the game earlier. Pospisil was all over the ice and much like the NHL he seemed to be in every scrum driving the other team crazy.
I've become such a fan of this player and I'm really happy that the team gave him a chance. He looks good at center, which is nice and should provide plenty of flexibility for the coaches next season.

Both Conroy and Huska think Pospisil has another level he can reach.
Super excited for his future.

Taking a while to get to 5000

That would be awesome for him. And after watching Team USA this morning, they could probably use him.

Tomas Tatar, who is captaining Pospisil and the Slovakia side, can attest.
"He's very intense on the ice," Tatar said. "I think that's something he'll have to learn how to control, but definitely there are moments in a game where the other team is probably thinking 'who is this guy?' It's very effective. He can get under a lot of guys skin.
"I was very proud of him, how he played in Calgary. It was a pleasure to watch. He's still young, too. I'm sure he's going to be better and better.
"It's exciting for us to have a player like him in the NHL."
|
Quote:
"He plays well. I like his game a lot," Tatar said. "I was very surprised. I didn't know much about his game before he got to Calgary but when I played him I was really impressed with what he brought to the game.
"It's all good when you're doing it and not getting penalized for it. That's where you maximize it. If you look at maybe Brad Marchand, he's very good at it. That's maybe probably the ceiling.
"There is a line. It's a thin line. When you learn how to play on it it can be very effective. I'm sure a lot of guys are upset about the hits, but it can bring a lot of energy for your team."
